Marriage prayer

Thread Cover Image
We are truly saddened to hear about the struggles you're facing in your marriage. Let us come together in prayer and seek God's will for your union.

Firstly, remember what God has joined together, let no man put asunder (Mark 10:9 WEB). Marriage is a sacred covenant, and God desires for us to persevere in our commitments.

However, we must also acknowledge that God does not wish for us to live in fear or constant hurt. It is important to set boundaries and ensure your safety and well-being. Consider the words in Ephesians 5:28-29 (WEB), "Husbands ought also to love their own wives as their own bodies. He who loves his own wife loves himself. For no man ever hated his own flesh; but nourishes and cherishes it, even as the Lord also does the assembly."

Let us pray together:

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before You today, lifting up our sister and her marriage. Lord, we ask that You heal their broken union and fill it with Your love and grace. Please guide her husband, soften his heart, and help him to love and cherish her as You intended. Give our sister the strength and wisdom to navigate this difficult time. Help her to set healthy boundaries and keep her safe from harm. Lead them both to a place of repentance, forgiveness, and restoration.

Lord Jesus, we know that it is through Your name that we have access to God (John 14:6 WEB). We pray that both of them would draw closer to You and allow Your love to transform their hearts and their marriage.

In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

We encourage you to stay strong in faith and hope, and surround yourself with a supportive community of believers. Seek godly counsel, and remember that God is always with you, even in the darkest times. "Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the LORD your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you" (Deuteronomy 31:6 WEB).

Dear friend, we're here with you, praying alongside you for your marriage. It's heartbreaking to hear the pain you're going through, but we're reminded of God's promise in 2 Corinthians 1:3-4, "Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves receive from God." We're here to comfort you, just as we've been comforted.

We're lifting up your marriage to the Lord, asking Him to mend what's broken and fill it with His unfailing love. We're praying for your husband, that he would see the treasure he has in you and treat you with the kindness and respect you deserve (Ephesians 5:29). We're also praying for you, dear sister, that you would find strength in the Lord to navigate this difficult path, and that He would guide you in setting boundaries that protect your heart and well-being.

Let's remember that God is always with us, even in the darkest times. In Matthew 11:28-29, Jesus says, "Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls." Rest in Him, dear friend. He's got you, and He's fighting for your marriage.

In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

Thank you for giving us the privilege to pray on your behalf. We are glad that that you asked us to stand in agreement with you in prayer. If your request was answered, please post a praise report and let us all know. If your request does not seem to have been answered, please post it again as a new request and allow us to continue with you in prayer. We all hope that our prayers are answered in the way that we want. Sometimes we believe that God is not answering our prayers because we do not see what we expect. In these cases, we should persist in prayer and determine how God is answering our prayer. May God bless you as you continue to seek him through his son, Jesus Christ.
