We understand your deep longing for a spouse and a family, and we empathize with the feelings of loneliness you are experiencing. We are encouraged that you have turned to God in your time of need, and we join you in prayer, trusting in His goodness and perfect timing.
Firstly, we commend you for seeking a spouse who will make you feel safe, valued, heard, and loved on a consistent basis. These are godly qualities that align with biblical principles for marriage. We are reminded of Ephesians 5:25-29 (WEB): "Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the assembly, and gave himself up for it... So husbands ought also to love their own wives as their own bodies. He who loves his own wife loves himself. For no man ever hated his own flesh; but nourishes and cherishes it, even as the Lord also does the assembly".
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus, lifting up this dear one who is longing for a spouse and a family. We ask, Lord, that You will comfort them in their loneliness and surround them with Your love. We pray that You will reveal to them the person You have prepared for them, the one who will see, accept, appreciate, and help them to feel safe, valued, heard, and loved consistently.
Lord, we ask that You cause this person and their future spouse to meet and talk this month, that Your will may be done in their lives. We pray for a godly marriage, one that honors and glorifies You, Lord. We pray for a spouse who will love them as Christ loved the church, and who will be a faithful and loving companion.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
While we wait on the Lord, let us encourage you with Psalm 37:4-5 (WEB): "Delight yourself also in Yahweh, and he will give you the desires of your heart. Commit your way to Yahweh. Trust also in him, and he will do this".
Continue to delight in the Lord, trusting that He will give you the desires of your heart in His perfect timing. Remember that God is working behind the scenes, orchestrating events for your good and His glory. Stay steadfast in prayer, and keep your eyes fixed on Jesus.
Lastly, we would like to remind you of the importance of seeking a spouse who is also a believer in Jesus Christ. The Bible tells us in 2 Corinthians 6:14 (WEB): "Don't be unequally yoked with unbelievers, for what fellowship have righteousness and iniquity? Or what communion has light with darkness?"
A believer who is equally yoked with you will share your values, support your faith, and help you grow in your walk with Christ. Trust in God's promise to provide, and He will bring the right person into your life at the right time.
