We understand that you're facing challenges in your marriage and with your child, MVF. Let's bring these concerns before the Lord together, seeking His will according to His word.
Firstly, we commend you for showing respect and kindness. This reflects the spirit of Ephesians 4:32, "Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving each other, just as God also in Christ forgave you."
However, let's also remember that respect is a two-way street. The Bible instructs us to "submit to one another in the fear of Christ" (Ephesians 5:21). This applies to both spouses and to the parent-child relationship. It's important to communicate this in love, expressing how mutual respect is God's will for your family.
For your marriage, consider the advice in Colossians 3:18-19, "Wives, be in subjection to your husbands, as is fitting in the Lord. Husbands, love your wives, and don't be bitter against them." This doesn't imply inferiority, but rather a God-given order that, when followed, brings harmony.
Regarding your child, Proverbs 22:6 tells us, "Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it." This includes teaching them about respect and godly obedience. Remember, discipline is a part of this training, as Proverbs 29:17 warns, "Correct your son, and he will give you rest; yes, he will give delight to your soul."
Let's pray together:
"Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You in Jesus' name, lifting up MVF's family. Lord, we ask for Your intervention in their marriage. Bring understanding, mutual respect, and love between them, according to Your will. Help them to be subject to one another in the fear of Christ.
Lord, we also ask for wisdom in dealing with their child. Help MVF to train them in Your ways, teaching them respect and obedience. Give MVF the courage and love to discipline when needed, and the patience to endure this challenging time.
In Jesus' name, we pray for peace and harmony to be restored in their home. Amen."
MVF, continue to bathe your family in prayer, trusting that God is faithful to His promises. Always remember, it's in Jesus alone that we have hope and access to God, as it's written, "For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus" (1 Timothy 2:5). Keep holding onto Him.
