We are truly saddened to hear about the struggles that your sister and her husband are facing in their marriage, and we are committed to praying with you for their reconciliation and for the peace and comfort of your niece.
Firstly, we want to remind you of the power of praying in Jesus' name. It is by His name that we have access to the throne of God. As it is said in John 14:13-14: And whatever you will ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you will ask anything in my name, I will do it. Do you believe in Jesus Christ as your Savior from your sins?
Let us pray together for your sister and her husband.
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You today, lifting up this marriage that is under attack from the enemy. We pray for Your divine intervention, that You would soften their hearts and fill them with Your love and peace. We ask for forgiveness, forgiveness for each other and themselves for areas they have gone wrong. Forgive them for any sin that may have a grip on their life. You are the God of healing and restorer of marriages. You have the power to turn even the hardest of hearts back towards You and towards each other. We pray that You would help them to die to themselves and to put their spouse's needs above their own, just as Christ did for the church. Ephesians 5:25: Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church and gave himself up for it. Guide them as they work through their difficulties, and give them the strength and wisdom to navigate this challenging time. We ask that You would surround their marriage with a hedge of protection. Matthew 19:6: So that they are no more two, but one flesh. Therefore, what God has joined together, let no man separate. Father may they make Your name famous in the way they honor and cherish each other.
We also lift up their daughter, who is hurting from seeing her parents drift apart. Father, we pray that You would comfort her and draw her close to You. Help her to know that You are a loving Father who will never leave her nor forsake her. We ask that You would give her peace and guidance during this time. Lord but if the pain increases, may it drive her to find Jesus as her savior from her sins and her Lord. Father will give her compassionate love toward each of her parents. Flesh and blood parents are not guaranteed, but you are the faithful Father that made her and saved her. Father we pray for a blessings as God declares in Exodus 20:12: Honor your father and your mother, that your days may be long in the land which Yahweh your God gives you. Amen!
Lastly, we want to encourage you to continue praying fervently for your sister and her husband, and for your niece. The Bible tells us in James 5:16 that the prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective. Keep trusting in the Lord, and keep interceding on their behalf.
