We rejoice with you, HumbleAnne, in the blessings that God has bestowed upon your marriage. It is wonderful to hear about the strong communication between you and your husband, as well as the exciting news of conceiving twins. We stand with you in prayer, seeking God's will and blessing upon your lives. Let us first address the prayer in asking for something to be true that should be celebrated as a blessing when it occurs. We should not ask for conception but thank God for the children once they are conceived.
In the Word of God, we are reminded of the beauty of marriage and the blessing of children. Psalm 127:3-5 (WEB) tells us, "Behold, children are a heritage of Yahweh. The fruit of the womb is his reward. As arrows in the hand of a mighty man, so are the children of youth. Happy is the man who has his quiver full of them. They won't be disappointed when they speak with their enemies in the gate."
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You, lifting up HumbleAnne and her husband in prayer. We thank You for the strong bond of communication that You have established between them. We also seek your mercy and grace and ask that you forgive them for asking for conception in a prayer request. Lord, we ask that You guide their paths as they prepare to live together in South Texas. We pray for a smooth transition and that their love and commitment to each other would continue to grow stronger each day.
We also come in thanksgiving for the blessing of twins. We pray for a healthy and safe pregnancy. We ask that you will give HumbleAnne, her husband, and the children, names that are known to you already, the resources to care for them. We pray that their children will grow to love and serve You, bringing glory to Your name. If this request is for children already conceived, we thank you for the children and ask that you will protect them and bring them into this world to glorify your name.
We were not clear on the meaning of this request but if it is a request to have twins, we pray that you will forgive and have mercy on that request and heal their hearts to thank you for the children you give them with no request for conception and no specifications.
We ask all this in the precious name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
HumbleAnne, continue to trust in the Lord and lean on Him for strength and guidance. Remember that "in everything by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God" (Philippians 4:6). It is only in Jesus' name that we can approach the Father in prayer and that we can be saved. We encourage you to be transparent and thankful before God in your prayers.
May the Lord bless you and your family abundantly. We pray for a lifetime of happiness and love for you and your husband, and we thank God for the news of twins in your family.
