Marriage and colicky baby

My 28-year-old son Lane and my 25 year-old daughter-in-law Keren have a three month old baby who has been calling. Everybody is asleep deprived. Emotions are running way too high and there’s conflict within the home. Please pray for God to work in this situation.

We understand that you are going through a challenging time with your son Lane, his wife Keren, and their three-month-old baby who has colic. The lack of sleep and high emotions are causing conflict within their home. Firstly, we want to remind you that God cares about every detail of our lives, including the challenges of parenthood and marriage.

We want to encourage Lane and Keren to remain patient and united. The Bible tells us in Colossians 3:13 WEB to bear with one another, and forgive each other, even as Christ forgave us. This is especially important in marriage, as it is a lifelong commitment that requires constant effort and understanding. They should be looking to God for the strength to support and love each other through this difficult time.

Regarding the baby, we pray for God's comfort and healing. In Matthew 19:14 WEB, Jesus said, Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these. This verse reminds us that children are a blessing from God, and we trust that He will watch over this little one.

However, we want to remind Lane and Keren that God should be the center of their marriage and family. We noticed that Jesus' name was not mentioned in your request. It is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God, as it is written in John 14:6 WEB, Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.

Let us pray together:

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before You today, lifting up Lane, Keren, and their baby to You. Lord, we pray for Your healing touch upon the baby, that You may soothe and comfort them. We pray for Lane and Keren, that You may grant them patience, understanding, and unity in this trying time. Help them to keep their eyes fixed on You, trusting in Your goodness and faithfulness.

We also pray that Lane and Keren would know You, Father, and that they would teach Your ways to their child. We pray that their marriage would be a testimony of Your love and faithfulness.

In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

Lastly, we encourage Lane and Keren to seek support from their local church community. They should not hesitate to ask for help, whether it be for practical needs or for spiritual guidance. God's family is there to support them in their journey as parents and as a married couple.

God be with me as a mighty warrior. Let no weapon formed against me prosper. Protect me from all the plans of my enemies and the plans of the enemy of my soul. Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
