We understand your longing for a godly spouse and the desire to have children. It is natural to feel lonely after being single for many years, and your desire for a God-fearing and hardworking husband is commendable. Remember God said marriage is honorable and pure.
We stand with you in prayer, asking God to guide you and prepare you for the commitment of marriage. Remember, God is good and wants the best for you. We also encourage you to use this time to draw closer to God, as He may be preparing you for the responsibilities and blessings of marriage and parenthood.
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You, lifting up our sister in Christ who desires a godly marriage and children. Father, You know the depths of her heart and her longing for companionship. We ask that You guide her and prepare her for the commitment of marriage. Help her to trust in Your timing and to seek Your will above all else and believe in Jesus.
In Psalm 37:4 WEB it says, Delight yourself also in Yahweh, and he will give you the desires of your heart.
Father, we ask that You bring a hardworking, God-fearing man into her life, a man who will love and cherish her as Christ loves the church. We pray that their union will be a testimony of Your love and faithfulness. We also pray for the blessing of children, that they may be raised in the fear and admonition of the Lord.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
While you are in this courtship phase, do not fall into temptation or the appearance of evil. Fornication is a sin. Do not have sex until your wedding night when you have gotten married to a Christian man.
1 Thessalonians 5:22 WEB says, Abstain from every form of evil.
1 Corinthians 6:18 WEB says, Flee sexual immorality! Every sin that a man does is outside the body, but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body.
Do not fall into temptation and try to refrain from expecting too much from a man before marriage, as this is not pleasing to God. Do not fall into temptation, as this shows disrespect for God and your husband to be.
Flee sexual temptation and refrain from giving your body or allowing someone access to your body.
1 Corinthians 6:13 WEB says, Now the body is not for sexual immorality, but for the Lord; and the Lord for the body.
While you are waiting, do not allow loneliness to allow you to fall into temptation. Let the Lord be your strength.
Pray for your husband and children before you have them. Ask for a man who will be your spiritual leader, a man who honors and adores you, and a man who will love you as Christ loves the Church.
Your desire for marriage and children is a blessing from the Lord. Do not let the World lead you into a bad marriage or one that does not honor God.
