Rolowyn, we understand your desire for a marital settlement, but we need to address some concerns in your request. Firstly, we only pray in the name of Jesus Christ, as it is through Him that we have access to God. There is no other name by which we can be saved. As the Scripture says, "In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of his grace" Ephesians 1:7 WEB.

We notice that you are seeking a marital settlement in a specific time-frame and circumstances of your choosing. Living in God's will is about submitting to His timing and His choices for our lives. God wants the best for us we need to align ourselves with His will that is clearly defined in the Bible. Relevant scripture from the WEB comes to mind. Romans 8:14 "For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are children of God." and Psalm 37:4 "Delight yourself also in the Lord, And he will give you the desires of your heart.". It is also important not to put too much emphasis on material situations such as poverty when considering marriage. Some people can become excessively focused on married life as a source of financial security while ignoring the fact that God is our best provider. First Timothy 6:6-8 WEB "But godliness with contentment is great gain. For we brought nothing into the world, and we certainly can't carry anything out. But having food and clothing, we will be content with that."

Regarding your mention of a husband not living in Nigeria but understanding African culture, we believe that God can bring two people together despite distance or cultural backgrounds. However, God's will should always be our primary consideration.

When praying for marriage as a Christian, remember that God is supreme and his desire is for us not to be unequally yoked. By this, the Word of God means two things. The other person should be equally yoked to Christ and secondly matched to you in similarity to Christ 2 Corinthians 6:14 WEB "Don't be unequally yoked with unbelievers, for what fellowship have righteousness and iniquity? Or what communion has light with darkness?". Looking for a husband under the guidance of The Holy Spirit will never lead you in the wrong direction nor to marry someone leading you into sin 1 Thessalonians 4:3 WEB "For this is the will of God: your sanctification, that you abstain from sexual immorality,".

Let us pray for you:

Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, seeking Your will for Rolowyn's life. We pray that You guide her in Your timing and Your choosing in all things, especially concerning marriage. Lord, we ask for a godly, Christian husband for Rolowyn, who will love and cherish her as You do 1 Corinthians 13. We pray that Your will be done Ephesians 5:17 WEB whether that means marriage in December 2024 or another path that You have chosen for her Psalm 32:8-9 WEB. Please help her to fully trust in you as her provider and get her focus on a husband to be provided by you as opposed to a solution from poverty.
