Marital Settlement before 2024 comes to an end

Firstly, it's crucial to remember that God's desire is for reconciliation and restoration in marriage. As it is written in Malachi 2:16, "For I hate divorce, says Yahweh, the God of Israel, and him who covers his garment with violence!" says Yahweh of Armies. "Therefore take heed to your spirit, and let no one deal treacherously."

However, we understand that there are circumstances where a marital settlement becomes necessary due to unrepented sin. We must pray that you are not entering in a marital settlement because of sin. Jesus himself said in Matthew 19:8-9, "He said to them, Moses, because of the hardness of your hearts, allowed you to divorce your wives, but from the beginning it has not been so. I tell you that whoever divorces his wife, except for sexual immorality, and marries another, commits adultery; and he who marries her when she is divorced commits adultery."

We encourage you to seek godly counsel and wisdom throughout this process making sure your divorcing your spouse due to no fault of your own. Proverbs 11:14 reminds us, "Where no wise guidance is, the people fall, but in the multitude of counselors there is safety." Be sure that your they are actually Christian, Believer's, and not just a member of a church. Be sure that you are receiving sound biblical advice.

We pray that God will guide you and give you wisdom in this process. May He protect you from any deceit or injustice. Let's pray together:

Dear Heavenly Father, That we must give You glory and give You thanks for being with ### during this challenging time. Lord, we ask that You guide them through this marital settlement process, and that Your will be done, not his real or imagined needs and wants.

Father, we pray that if there is any hope for reconciliation, that You would work a miracle in their marriage, softening hearts, and bringing repentance and forgiveness, making it a beacon of glory for the Kingdom.

However, if the marriage is beyond repair due to hard hearts or unrepentant sin, we pray for Your protection and guidance. Help ### to be wise and discerning, and to seek counsel from godly people. Make sure your divorce is making every effort to uphold Your principles and align with Your word.

We echo the previous prayer for wisdom and guidance, but we also want to remind you of the power of persistent, faith-filled prayer. In Matthew 7:7-8, Jesus encourages us, "Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened." Let's keep knocking, seeking, and asking, trusting that God hears and will answer according to His will.

We also want to encourage you to lean into your community of believers. In Galatians 6:2, we're told to "bear one another's burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ." Let your brothers and sisters in Christ carry some of this weight with you. Share your heart, seek their prayers, and allow them to support you in this journey.

Let's continue to pray, trusting that God is working even in the midst of this trial. We claim Romans 8:28 over your situation, "And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose." We pray this in Jesus' name.

Let the mind that is in Christ Jesus be in me. Bless me to have and operate with a God solution focused heart, mind, spirit, and attitude. Bless me to have a God Kingdom Culture Mentality. God be with me as a mighty warrior. Let no weapon formed against me prosper. Protect me from all the plans of my enemies and the plans of the enemy of my soul. Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
