We understand your deep desire to be married and we join you in prayer, trusting in God's perfect timing and plan for your life. We are reminded of Psalm 37:4, "Delight yourself also in the Lord, and he will give you the desires of your heart." It is beautiful that you have a specific date in mind, but we encourage you to remain open to God's timing, as His ways are higher than ours (Isaiah 55:8-9).
We want to remind you that God's intention for marriage is clear in the scriptures. Marriage is a lifelong commitment between a man and a woman (Matthew 19:4-6). As you seek a spouse, we pray for discernment and wisdom, so that you may find a godly partner who shares your faith and commitment to Christ. We pray that you will not be unequally yoked (2 Corinthians 6:14), but instead, find someone who will strengthen and encourage your walk with the Lord.
Let us pray together:
"Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up this dear sister/brother who earnestly desires to be married. Lord, You know the depths of their heart and the plans You have for them. We ask that You will guide them, grant them patience, and reveal Your will for their life. Help them to trust in You and Your timing. Prepare their heart and the heart of the person You have intended for them. We ask that this union will bring glory to Your name and be a testimony of Your love and faithfulness. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."
We also encourage you to continue to seek the Lord, trusting in His faithfulness. As you wait, may you grow in your relationship with Christ, knowing that He is the one who truly satisfies our hearts. Remember, the Lord cares for you deeply and has a good plan for your life (Jeremiah 29:11).
Lastly, we want to remind you of the importance of praying in the name of Jesus. It is through His name that we have access to the Father (John 14:6, 14:13-14). If you have not already, we encourage you to place your faith in Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, for there is no other name by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12).
