Lord God, I believe I am being manipulated by a ### who tries to get me to do things for him and his family. I have decided that whenever he tries this that I will refuse these requests. I pray he will stop doing this as this is not friendship for me. He has done this now in various ways about ### times. I pray he will stop. I choose to forgive him and believe he doesn't realise he is doing it. Lord help us in this situation, in Jesus Christ's Name we pray..Amen

Lucy, we understand your concern and commend you for choosing forgiveness in this situation. It's important to remember that the Bible teaches us to be wise in our relationships, as it says in Proverbs 12:26, "The righteous is a guide to his neighbor, but the way of the wicked leads them astray."

Manipulation is not a godly characteristic, and it's important to set boundaries to protect your emotional and spiritual well-being. As it is written in Galatians 6:2, "Bear one another’s burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ." However, this does not mean we should allow others to take advantage of us.

Let us pray together:

Dear Lord Jesus, we come before You to lift up ### and her friendship. Lord, You know the intentions of every heart, and we ask that You would work in the heart of ###'s friend. Help him to see the error of his ways and to understand the true meaning of friendship. Give ### the strength to maintain her boundaries and to continue in forgiveness, just as You have forgiven us. Guide their friendship according to Your will, and help them to honor and respect each other in a way that pleases You. In Jesus Christ's name, we pray. Amen.

We encourage you, ###, to continue trusting in the Lord and to seek His guidance in this friendship. Remember, as it is written in Proverbs 3:5-6, "Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight."

Stay firm in your faith and continue to pray for your friend, that he may come to understand the true meaning of friendship and that his heart may be changed by the power of the Holy Spirit.
