Let's lift up a child who's been sick all winter. Pray for healing and comfort!
Let's pray for an adult daughter to find a loving husband who follows Jesus' example.
Let's pray for a successful Vertebroplasty procedure and healing from spine fractures.
Praise report! A cat's blood tests are perfect. Pray for a good appetite for medication.
Roman 2:2 "But we are sure that the judgment of God is according to truth* against them which commit such things"
According to the Bible, God uses several things to judge and purify us:
1. His Word (The Bible) – Hebrews 4:12 says, "For the word of God is living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword... discerning the thoughts and intentions of the heart." God's Word reveals truth and convicts us of sin.
2. The Holy Spirit – John 16:8 says, "And when He (the Holy Spirit) comes, He will convict the world concerning sin and righteousness and judgment." The Holy Spirit works in our hearts to refine and transform us.
3. Trials and Suffering – 1 Peter 1:6-7 says, "You have been grieved by various trials, so that the tested genuineness of your faith... may be found to result in praise and glory and honor at the revelation of Jesus Christ." God uses hardships to purify our faith.
4. Fire as a Symbol of Purification – Malachi 3:2-3 describes God as a refiner’s fire, purifying His people like a silversmith purifies silver.
5. Jesus Christ as Judge – 2 Corinthians 5:10 says, "For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, so that each one may receive what is due for what he has done in the body, whether good or evil."
In summary, God uses His Word, the Holy Spirit, trials, refining fire, and ultimately Christ’s judgment to purify and refine believers.
I talked about God's plan of saving mankind, which we summarize into 3 stages
️ First stage: the Age of Law (Old Testament). Jehovah issued the laws and commandments to guide people in their lives and make them aware of sin.
️ Second stage: the Age of Grace (New Testament). The Lord Jesus was crucified to redeem all humanity, allowing people to confess and repent their sins.
️ Third stage: the Age of Kingdom (Work of the Last days). Almighty God has expressed all truths to judge and cleanse people’s sinful nature, enabling them to be purified and enter God’s kingdom.
Even though the work done in each stage differed, it was all done by One God. So too, will the work done in the last days also be done by God Himself.
Consequence of rejecting God's management plan.
Revelation 1:7 *“Behold, He comes with clouds; and every eye shall see Him, and they also which pierced Him: and all kindreds of the earth shall wail because of Him”*
*“When you see Jesus descend from the heaven upon a white cloud with your own eyes, this will be the public appearance of the Sun of righteousness. Perhaps that will be a time of great excitement for you, yet you should know that the time when you witness Jesus descend from the heaven is also the time when you go down to hell to be punished. That will be the time of the end of God’s management plan and it will be when God rewards the good and punishes the wicked. For the judgment of God will have ended before man sees signs, when there is only the expression of truth. Those who accept the truth and do not seek signs, and thus have been purified, shall have returned before the throne of God and entered the Creator’s embrace. Only those who persist in the belief that “The Jesus who does not ride upon a white cloud is a false Christ” shall be subjected to everlasting punishment, for they only believe in the Jesus who exhibits signs, but do not acknowledge the Jesus who proclaims severe judgment and releases the true way and life. And so it can only be that Jesus deals with them when He openly returns upon a white cloud”*
It has been difficult living day after day on this earth. Sometimes I feel less human experiencing torture of hunger, starvation, and rejection. One thing is sure. I am a heir of a kingdom up high. My father has reserved a wonderful place for me. The pain I face now will one day be no more. The sadness I experience will be gone. I will be by my Saviour singing hallelujah.
Beloved, pray for us facing all sorts of inhuman conditions that we are called home to rest soon.
