We join you in lifted hearts, bringing your child before the throne of grace, seeking God's will together in Jesus' name. We praise God for your parental heart, full of love and concern for your child's well-being.
Let us pray together:
"Father in heaven, we come before You in Jesus' name, lifting up this precious child to You. We pray for their protection, that no weapon formed against them shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17). We ask that You surround them with Your favor as with a shield (Psalm 5:12), guarding their heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7).
Lord, we ask that You provide good friends for this child, who will love, accept, and welcome them. May their path cross with those who will have a positive influence and share a trusting friendship that honors God (Proverbs 13:20).
We also bring before You the current friendship with A that is going through a rough phase. We pray for healing and reconciliation in their friendship. As iron sharpens iron, so may they sharpen each other's countenances (Proverbs 27:17). Smooth out the creases in their friendship, Lord, and let love cover a multitude of sins (1 Peter 4:8).
Father, we ask that everyone—their peers, teachers, A, and A's parents—love, respect, and accept this child. May this child have friends to talk to, share their emotions and feelings with, as they navigate through this delicate age.
We pray for their happiness, that they may rejoice in the Lord always (Philippians 4:4). Bless them with robust health, a long and prosperous life filled with accomplishments, and good, trusting friends.
Lastly, we pray that this child focuses on their studies and makes safe and healthy choices (Proverbs 3:5-6).
Father, we ask all these blessings in Jesus Christ’s name. Amen"
We encourage you to continue praying fervently for your child, as the effectual fervent prayer of the righteous accomplishes much (James 5:16). Remember to train your child in the way they should go, and when they are old, they will not depart from it (Proverbs 22:6). Teach them to put on the full armor of God, that they may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil (Ephesians 6:11).
Lastly, we want to remind you that it is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God. We have no other means by which we may be saved (John 14:6). Continue to hope in God for He is good.
