We understand your situation and are here to support you in prayer and guidance.
First of all, we need to make sure you understand the most important thing to pray for and what to rely on is salvation through Jesus Christ. If you believe in Jesus Christ then your sins are forgiven and you have a future in heaven as well as aid from the Holy Spirit. If not, then we recommend praying to receive Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior. Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. If you know me, you will know my Father also. From now on, you know him, and have seen him. Philip said to him, Lord, show us the Father, and that will be enough for us. Jesus said to him, Have I been with you such a long time, and do you not know me, Philip? He who has seen me has seen the Father. How do you say, Show us the Father? Do you not believe that I am in the Father, and the Father in me? The words that I tell you, I speak not from myself; but the Father who lives in me does his works. Believe me that I am in the Father, and the Father in me; or else believe me for the very works sake. Most certainly I tell you, he who believes in me, the works that I do, he will do also; and greater works than these will he do, because I am going to my Father. Whatever you will ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you will ask anything in my name, I will do it. If you love me, keep my commandments. I will pray to the Father, and he will give you another Counselor, that he may be with you forever, the Spirit of truth, whom the world can not receive; for it does not see him, neither knows him. You know him, for he lives with you, and will be in you. I will not leave you orphans. I will come to you. Yet a little while, and the world will see me no more; but you will see me. Because I live, you will live also. In that day you will know that I am in my Father, and you in me, and I in you. John 14:6-20 WEB.
It is wonderful that you have taken responsibility for your mistake. That is very important when we have sinned and is part of repentance. Owning up to our mistakes is essential for maintaining integrity and growing in character. The Bible tells us, He who conceals his sins does not prosper, but whoever confesses and renounces them finds mercy. Proverbs 28:13 WEB. Additionally, If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. 1 John 1:9 WEB.
Regarding any consequences of a mistake at work, Jesus said do not worry about it. Therefore I tell you, do not be anxious about your life, what you will eat, or what you will drink; nor yet for your body, what you will put on. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothing? See the birds of the sky, that they do not sow, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns. Your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of much more value than they? And which of you, by being anxious, can add one cubit to his height? Why are you anxious about clothing? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow. They do not toil, neither do they spin, yet I tell you that even Solomon in all his glory was not dressed like one of these. But if God so clothes the grass of the field, which today exists, and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, will he not much more clothe you, you of little faith? Therefore do not be anxious, saying, What will we eat? What will we drink? or, With what will we be clothed? For the Gentiles seek after all these things; for your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first God's Kingdom, and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well. Therefore do not be anxious for tomorrow, for tomorrow will be anxious for itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own. Matthew 6:25-34 WEB.
Let God handle the situation and Put all your work into his Hands. Commit your work to Yahweh, and your plans shall be established. Proverbs 16:3 WEB.
If your client is a believer in Jesus Christ, then it is your responsibility to remind them of their Christian duty to show mercy and forgiveness to others. And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God also in Christ forgave you. Ephesians 4:32 WEB. For if you forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. But if you do not forgive men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses. Matthew 6:14-15 WEB.
