We join you in prayer, anonymous, and we appreciate that you have come with a repentant heart seeking forgiveness and deliverance. Anger can be a snare, but it is not beyond God's power to deliver you and help you overcome it.
Let's remember these words from Psalm 103:8-12 WEB:
The Lord is merciful and gracious, slow to anger, and abundant in loving kindness. He will not always accuse; neither will he stay angry forever. He has not dealt with us according to our sins, nor repaid us for our iniquities. For as the heavens are high above the earth, so great is his loving kindness toward those who fear him.As far as the east is from the west, so far has he removed our transgressions from us.
Jesus Christ has paid the price for our sins, and through Him, we have access to God's forgiveness and mercy. As we submit to Him, He is faithful to deliver us from our sinful tendencies.
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the powerful name of Jesus Christ, seeking Your forgiveness and mercy for our brother/sister. Lord, they have confessed their struggle with anger, and we ask that You grant them deliverance from this snare.
Help them Lord, to put off all these: anger, wrath, malice, blasphemy, and filthy communication. And put on therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, hearts of compassion, kindness, humbleness of mind, meekness, and longsuffering (Colossians 3:8-12 WEB). As we put on the new man that is renewed in knowledge after the image of him who created him (Colossians 3:10 WEB) may we bring forth more of the fruit of the Spirit in our lives and how we treat others.
Father, fill their heart with Your love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control (Galatians 5:22-23 WEB). Help them to walk in the Spirit, so that they will not fulfill the lusts of the flesh. May they always be swift to hear, slow to speak, and slow to wrath; for the wrath of man does not produce the righteousness of God (James 1:19-20 WEB).
We ask this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, who lives and reigns with You and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and forever. Amen.
Whenever you feel anger rising, remember to put on the whole armor of God and to yield to the Holy Spirit, Who is our Helper and Guide. Pray always that God will strengthen you with might in the inner man (Ephesians 3:16) and help you in this area. Also, remember to thoroughly read the scriptures that deal with this topic.
As far as the east is from the west, may God aide you in your request, so far has He removed your transgressions from you.
