We are truly sorry to hear about the physical, emotional, and financial strain that chronic Lyme disease has put on you and your family. We will stand with you in prayer and offer some biblical encouragement and advice.
Firstly, we want to remind you that God is always with you, even in your suffering. As it says in Psalm 34:18 WEB, The Lord is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit.
We must also remember that healing comes from God, not doctors, as seen in Psalm 103:2-3 WEB, Bless the Lord, my soul, and do not forget all his benefits, who forgives all your sins, who heals all your diseases. However, God often uses doctors and medical professionals as instruments for healing. While your circumstances may be difficult, do not lose hope. Continue to trust God and seek His will. This can be difficult but will be rewarding.
We encourage you to pray fervently, asking God for healing and provision. Jesus himself told us to keep asking, keep seeking, keep knocking in Matthew 7:7 WEB. Ask, and it will be given you. Seek, and you will find. Knock, and it will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives. He who seeks finds. To him who knocks it will be opened.
We also encourage you to reach out to your local church or Christian community for support. They may be able to help you find medical resources or provide financial assistance. Being a provider can be a heavy burden, but God wants us to share our burden. Remember that God cares for you and your family, as shown in 1 Peter 5:7 WEB, casting all your worries on him, because he cares for you.
Let us not forget that praying in Jesus' name is essential for Christians. It is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God. As it says in John 14:6 WEB, Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before you today in Jesus' name, lifting up our fellow believer who is suffering from chronic Lyme disease. We ask for Your healing hand to touch them, to ease their pain, and to restore their health. We pray for Your supernatural peace to guard their heart and mind, and for Your strength to sustain them during this difficult time. We also ask for Your provision, that You would meet all of their needs according to Your glorious riches in Christ Jesus. We pray for wisdom and guidance, that You would direct them to the right doctors and medical resources. We pray for their family, that You would protect and provide for them as well. We ask all of this in Jesus' mighty name, by whom we are saved. Amen.
