Lung Cancer

My mother ### was recently diagnosed with lung cancer and metastases in her body. Please pray for her. The doctors say chemo doesn't help anymore.

I'm struggling a lot. I have never lived without my mother.

We are deeply saddened to hear about your mother ###'s lung cancer diagnosis and the news that chemotherapy is no longer a viable option. Let us come alongside you and lift her up in prayer together.

Firstly, let us remind you of God's promise in Isaiah 41:10 (WEB), "Don’t be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness." Even in this difficult time, God is with you and your mother.

Let us pray:

Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You in Jesus' name, lifting up ### to You. We ask for Your healing touch upon her body, especially her lungs and the areas where cancer has spread. We pray that You would grant her doctors wisdom and guidance in her treatment. If it is Your will, we ask for a miraculous healing, knowing that You are capable of all things.

Lord, we also pray for her child who is struggling with this news. Comfort them, Lord, as only You can. Remind them of Your love and promise that You will never leave them nor forsake them. Help them to cast all their anxiety on You, because You care for them (1 Peter 5:7 WEB).

If healing is not in Your plan, Lord, we pray for peace and comfort for ### and her family. Help them to trust in You, even in the face of death, knowing that for those who believe in You, death is not the end but a transition into eternity with You.

Lord Jesus, we thank You for dying on the cross for our sins, so that we could have eternal life. We pray that ### and her family would put their trust in You, knowing that it is only through Your name that we can be saved (Acts 4:12 WEB).

In Jesus' name, we pray these things. Amen.

Lastly, we encourage you to continue trusting in God, even in this difficult time. Remember that even when we face trials, we can have peace, because Jesus has overcome the world (John 16:33 WEB). If you ever feel alone or overwhelmed, remember that God is always with you, and so are we in prayer and support.
