Steven Bobb, we stand with you in your concern for the spiritual well-being of families and the upbringing of children. It is indeed disturbing to see parents not only tolerating but sometimes even encouraging sinful behavior in their children's lives. The Bible is clear on the role of parents in Proverbs 22:6, "Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it."
Let us pray together:
"Father in heaven, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, asking for godly parents. Parents who will guide their children according to Your Word and not according to the world's standards. We pray that parents will have the courage and the wisdom to rebuke sin and teach righteousness, as instructed in Ephesians 6:4, 'Fathers, don’t provoke your children to wrath, but nurture them in the discipline and admonition of the Lord.'
Lord, we ask that parents will not be deceived by the world's lies but will stand firm on Your truth. We pray against the spirit of tolerance that leads many astray, and we ask for a spirit of discernment and boldness for parents to call sin what it is and to guide their children away from it.
We pray for the children who are misled and for those who are struggling with sin. We ask, Lord, that You reveal Yourself to them and draw them to You. We believe that it is only through a personal relationship with Jesus Christ that true transformation can occur. As it is written in Acts 4:12, 'There is salvation in none other, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men by which we must be saved!'
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."
Steven, continue to stand strong in your faith and speak the truth in love. We must not be afraid to address sin for what it is, as the Bible tells us in Isaiah 5:20, "Woe to those who call evil good, and good evil; who put darkness for light, and light for darkness; who put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!"
May the Lord strengthen and encourage you as you continue to uphold biblical principles in a world that often rejects them. Keep praying and trust that God is at work in the hearts of families.
