We are glad to join you in prayer for this important aspect of your life. We want to encourage you to seek God's will in this matter, as His ways are higher than our ways, and His thoughts higher than our thoughts.
Firstly, let us remember that God desires that we seek Him first and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you. We also want to remind you that a crucial aspect of a God-honoring relationship and/or marriage is that it should be centered on Christ. The greatest love we can experience is the love of Christ, and it is only by abiding in Him that we can love and be loved truly and abundantly. Love that is not centered on God can lead to idolatry. In a relationship, both parties must be seeking to glorify God and grow together in Christ. As it is written in Ephesians 5:25, "Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the assembly, and gave himself up for it."
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You, lifting up this dear sister in Christ. We ask, Father, that You would guide her in Your will for her life. We pray that if it is Your will, You would provide a husband for her who would love and adore her, but more importantly, a man who loves You with all his heart, soul, mind, and strength and who will love her as Christ loves the church. We pray for a relationship and a marriage that would be a testament to Your glory.
Father, help her to fix her eyes on You, to seek You first, and to trust in Your perfect plan for her life. Help her to grow in Your love and to experience the fullness of Your love for her. We ask this in the precious name of Your Son, Jesus Christ, as it is written in John 14:13-14 WEB: "Whatever you will ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you will ask anything in my name, I will do it."
We also pray for her spiritual growth and maturity, that she may become a Proverbs 31 woman, a suitable helper for her future husband. Help her to be faithful to her future husband, even before she meets him. A person who would be more interested in pleasing God than pleasing a man. God may prepare her to be a wife of noble character as described in Proverbs 31:10-31 WEB. "Who can find a worthy woman? For her price is far above rubies... A woman who fears Yahweh, she shall be praised."
We trust in Your perfect will, Father, and we ask that Your will be done in her life. We ask that You would prepare her and her future husband for each other, that they may grow together in love and in Your Word. We pray for a marriage that would be founded on Your love and on Your Word.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
Be encouraged, dear sister, knowing that God loves you and has a perfect plan for your life. Trust in Him, seek Him first, and He will direct your paths. As it is written in Proverbs 3:5-6 WEB: "Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don't lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight."
Remember it is the will of God that you are married to a Christian believer. 2 Corinthians 6:14 WEB: "Don't be unequally yoked with unbelievers, for what fellowship have righteousness and iniquity? Or what fellowship has light with darkness?"
