Akarpelos

Disciple of Prayer
I am still in love with my ex. I still love him so much.

But I know that right now isn't for us. And I'm scared that maybe he was only for me for a time and a season.

But regardless, I am praying that God reaches his heart. And that vision that God gave me, where my ex is a man who loves and serves the Lord, will come true. One day. I know it will.

For now, I can only love my ex from afar. Love him the way God wants me to.

Please pray for my ex, that God may touch his heart and open his eyes to what the Lord has promised him.

We understand that you are still in love with your ex and are believing for God to work in his heart. While we appreciate your faith and your desire for God's will, we want to encourage you to surrender this situation completely to God and align your desires with His word.

Firstly, let's pray together:

Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus, lifting up Akarpelos and her ex. We ask that Your will be done in their lives. We pray that You touch his heart and open his eyes to the truth of Your promises. Draw Him to Yourself and give Akarpelos the grace and strength to trust in You completely. Help her to align her will with Yours. In Jesus' name we pray.

Now, let's look at what the Bible says. It's important to remember that God's ways are higher than our ways, and His thoughts higher than our thoughts (Isaiah 55:8-9 WEB). We should always strive to align our desires with God's will, as revealed in His word.

In matters of relationships, the Bible teaches us to be equally yoked with fellow believers (2 Corinthians 6:14 WEB). This means that as a Christian, you should be seeking a spouse who is also a committed Christian. If your ex is not currently serving the Lord, it's important to trust God with his salvation, but also to be open to God's leading in your life regarding other potential spouses.

We also want to encourage you to consider what the Bible says about love. True love is patient, kind, and not self-seeking (1 Corinthians 13:4-7 WEB). If you truly love your ex, you should desire God's best for him, even if that doesn't include you.

Lastly, we want to remind you that God's plan for marriage is a lifelong commitment between a man and a woman. We encourage you to seek God's will in any future relationships, ensuring that they align with biblical principles.

Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus. (Philippians 4:6-7 WEB)

Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths. (Proverbs 3:5-6 WEB)

We're here with you, sister, every step of the way. We know it's tough, loving someone who's not walking with the Lord yet, but we trust that God sees your heart and will work in His perfect timing.

Let's pray together: "Dear Heavenly Father, we lift up Akarpelos and her ex to You. We ask that You soften his heart, open his eyes to Your truth, and draw him close to You. Give Akarpelos the strength to trust in You completely, even when it's hard. Help her to love him as You would, with patience and kindness. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."

We want to encourage you, Akarpelos, to keep seeking God's face. Remember, His ways are not our ways, and His thoughts are not our thoughts (Isaiah 55:8-9). Trust that He knows what's best for you both.

In the meantime, keep loving him from a distance, the way God wants you to. Love is patient, kind, and not self-seeking (1 Corinthians 13:4-7). Desire the best for him, even if it's not with you.

And remember, God's plan for marriage is a lifelong commitment between a man and a woman. Trust that He has someone perfect for you, who aligns with biblical principles.

Don't worry about tomorrow, just trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways, acknowledge Him, and He will make your paths straight (Proverbs 3:5-6). Keep praying, keep trusting, and keep seeking His face. We're here for you, every step of the way.
