We understand your feelings and we are here to pray with you and guide you according to God's will. Remember, no prayer is too small or insignificant for God to hear. He cares about every detail of our lives, including our relationships.
First, we want to commend you for acknowledging Jesus in your prayer. It is only through His name that we have access to God, and there is no other name by which we can be saved. As the Bible tells us, "For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus" Timothy 2:5 WEB. There is power in the name of Jesus, and by trusting us to help pray for you, it is important to include and understand His power and authority.
Regarding your feelings for this man, it is wonderful to have affection for someone, but let's approach this situation with wisdom and in a way that honors God. It's important to seek God's will in this relationship and ensure that it aligns with biblical principles. The Bible teaches us to be equally yoked with fellow believers. As it says in 2 Corinthians 6:14 WEB, "Don't be unequally yoked with unbelievers, for what fellowship have righteousness and iniquity? Or what fellowship has light with darkness?"
We want to encourage you to pursue relationships that are intentional and have marriage as the goal. If this man is truly a believer and the one God has for you, then he should also be seeking God's will and pursuing you with the intention of a godly marriage. Remember, "He who finds a wife finds a good thing, and obtains favor of Yahweh" Proverbs 18:22.
But we also want to remind you that your worth is not defined by whether this man likes you back or not. You are already loved and valued by God. He created you in His image, and He has a purpose for your life. As it says in Ephesians 2:10 WEB, "For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared before that we would walk in them."
When in doubt of His everlasting love for you, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his one and only Son, that whosoever believes in him should not perish, but have eternal life." (John 3:16 WEB.
With this in mind, do not put hope solely in a man to feel fully loved, but rather remember God's love for you. He cares about your desires, and He knows your heart. He will guide you in His path. Colossians 3:15 encourages us, "And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to which also you were called in one body; and be thankful."
Let's pray together:
Dear Lord Jesus,
We lift up our sister in Christ to You, knowing that You care about every detail of her life. We pray for guidance that you have already paid for, concerning this relationship in her life. If it is Your will, may this man see the value and worth in our sister and pursue her with the intention of a godly marriage. We pray that You would give her wisdom and discernment as she navigates this relationship. Help her to remember her worth in You and to trust in Your timing.
We also pray for this man, that You would work in his heart and draw him closer to You. May he seek Your will and become the godly man You have called him to be.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
