This charity in Sonoma County needs help. Please pray that our finances will be remedied. We were supposed to move into a new building about five months ago and the owner did not yet have the building ready. It then rained and it was apparent that not only did it rain inside the building--but there is also lab tested black mold in such abundance in the rafters that the building is condemned with our new inventory inside the building. This is a major attack by the evil one, because during the holiday season our sales of these items on half.com soar and we have no real way to pay our bills right now other than a small income from our thrift store. We are told by the city that we cannot go inside the new building because you can die from that much mold. Most of our inventory will need to be destroyed according to the city.
This charity helps those who are seriously suffering in our community. It is all volunteer run by primarily those who love the Lord and who want to serve the community. We home deliver healthy food, medical equipment, and other necessities to the most needy who are suffering from Stage Four Cancers, from severe Diabetes, from sudden death in the immediate family, and other similar circumstances. We also take things to those without visitors in the hospitals & year round books and movies to children in the hospital. This season we planned out, prior to this financial crisis, to serve at least 75 young children with birth defects, autism, and other such ailments "Christmas".
We have been significantly hurt by this mold and on top of that I need personal prayers because I am a senior, the Volunteer Director of this charity, and I was afflicted by this black mold. I ended up in the hospital with heart and lung problems. I have usually low blood pressure, but a week ago they did my blood pressure and it was 200! I would have had, most likely, a stroke or heart attack at that level. The Lord protected me, but due to this our charity has had to cut back our open house less 19 hours which means much less income from our small charity thrift store. This hurts our income also.
Please pray for my health to return and that my body will fight off this invasion of black mold. Also, that the Lord will protect some of our inventory worth about $500,000. and return it clean to us. Please pray that our charity will have the funds necessary for our existence to continue and prosper since so many people need our services. And that we find a better building to function in. Our current building, not the mold infested one, is a warehouse with a cement floor., no heat, and no air conditioning. It is over 100 during the summer and very cold in the summer. It is usually hard for customers to shop because of this. We need a building that is more suitable for this purpose. Thank you.
