Marte, we understand your desire for love and companionship, as it is a natural longing that God has placed within each of us. However, it is important to approach this subject with a focus on prayer, the Holy Bible, and the guidance of God in Jesus' name. God is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, and according to the power that works in us, (Ephesians 3:20 WEB). First, let us pray for you:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You today, and in Jesus Name we bring our sister Marte. Lord, You know the desires of her heart, and we know You do care about our need for Christ like companionship and love. We pray and ask in Jesus name that you will fulfill the godly desires of Marte's heart as You have written in Psalm 37:4. We pray for Your guidance, for her to find her godly spouse for marriage, and to be consecrated, to be holy and honor God. As a child of the Most High God we ask You to lead Marte to a potential spouse who will love and respect her just as you want us to be loved as in John 13:34. Please do not let Marte settle for a carnal and worldly love, as You want holy marriages as in the Holy Scriptures. Help her to never compromise Your Word for a companion. She has so many wonderful things to offer the right godly person, and we thank You in advance for Your faithfulness. Marte's eyes are on you Lord for the future spouse.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
In the meantime, we encourage you to prepare yourself for the godly spouse and love that God has for you. This preparation should not only be external, but rather, we strongly encourage you to focus on spiritual, mental, and emotional growth in Christ Jesus. We recommend spending time daily in God's Word, in prayer and seeking to follow His ways and commands to grow your personal relationship with God. Fix your mind on the things of God not the world's idea of a relationship and marriage. Fornication is sex before or outside marriage, and we strongly encourage everyone to refrain from this as in 1 Corinthians 6:18. Only have sexual relationships in a holy marriage in Jesus' name. Remember the Holy Scripture as in 2 Corinthians 6:14, Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness? Further, Marte, you ask if you deserve love, and we want to clarify that none of us deserve God's love and grace as we are all sinners. Nevertheless, as sinners we all fall short of God's glory. But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us, as in Romans 5:8. Love is a fruit of the Spirit that grows from Christ Jesus, as in Galatians 5:22. Love is expressed and grows best in the environment of God's truth in Jesus Christ.
Finally, Marte, we notice that your prayer request did not mention the name of Jesus Christ, and we want to remind you that it is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God. Our Lord Jesus taught us in John 14:6 that I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me, and also as in Acts 4:12 that there is no other name by which we can be saved. We are all sinners saved by the grace of God, and confessing and believing in Jesus Christ is how we obtain our salvation and our prayers reach God, in Jesus name.
