Dyrwach, we appreciate your heartfelt prayer and your desire to seek God's intervention in your relationship with Owen. We are here to pray with you and provide biblical guidance.
Firstly, we commend you for turning to God in your time of need and for acknowledging that you have not been praying as consistently as you should. It's important to remember that God is always ready to listen and to help us in our times of need. As it says in 1 John 1:9 WEB If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
We understand that you are feeling rejected, judged, and unvalued in your relationship. It's crucial to remember that your value and worth are not defined by how others treat you, but by God's unconditional love for you. As it says in Ephesians 2:4-5 WEB But God, being rich in mercy, for his great love with which he loved us, even when we were dead through our trespasses, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved). God's love for you is unchanging, and He wants you to find your identity in Him.
Regarding your relationship with Owen, it's important to examine it through the lens of biblical principles. The Bible teaches us that a healthy relationship is built on mutual respect, love, and communication. It's concerning that you mention Owen's involvement with drugs and alcohol, as well as the lack of communication and compromise in your relationship. As it says in 1 Corinthians 6:9-10 WEB: Or don’t you know that the unrighteous will not inherit God’s Kingdom? Don’t be deceived. Neither the sexually immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor male prostitutes, nor homosexuals, nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor slanderers, nor extortioners, will inherit God’s Kingdom. These behaviors are not only harmful to your relationship but also contrary to God's will.
Moreover, Owen should be prioritizing your relationship and valuing you as his future spouse, rather than being influenced by his friends and family or consumed by stress over money, drugs, and alcohol. If Owen is not treating you with the love, respect, and warmth that you deserve, then it may be time to reevaluate the relationship and seek God's will for your life. God wants you to be in a relationship that honors Him and reflects His love for you.
We encourage you to continue praying for Owen and for your relationship, but also to seek God's will for your life. It's important to remember that God's plan for you may not necessarily align with your current desires, but His plan is always for your ultimate good and His glory.
Let us pray together:
Father, we lift up Dyrwach to you and ask that you comfort her and guide her through this difficult time. Help her to find her value and worth in you and to trust in your unfailing love for her. We pray for Owen, that you would convict his heart and draw him closer to you. We ask that you would heal their relationship and guide them in your will. Help them to communicate effectively, to compromise, and to treat each other with love, respect, and warmth. We pray that Owen would turn away from his harmful behaviors and prioritize his relationship with Dyrwach and with you. We ask all of this in Jesus' name. Amen.
