Dyrwach, let us come for prayer and counsel together. Let us start by acknowledging that God is indeed a miracle worker. The Bible tells us that "with God all things are possible" (Matthew 19:26 WEB). However, God's miracles often come from a heart that is genuinely broken before Him and forsaking their own ways and sinful desires. This only comes by believing in Jesus and His saving grace and not by our good works.
Let us pray first before saying anything else and then counsel Dyrwach.
Heavenly Father,
we come before You, lifting up Dyrwach and Owen. We thank You for the convicting work of Your Holy Spirit in Dyrwach's life, as she has come to realize the impact of her past actions. We ask for Your forgiveness and mercy upon her, as You promise that "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness" (1 John 1:9 WEB).
We also come boldly before the throne hoping and believing. We then bring Owen to you. We pray that You soften his heart and remove any embarrassment or coldness he may feel towards Dyrwach. We pray that You help them both to become more loving, affectionate, and understanding towards each other. If their be any guilt allow Owen the strength to forgive and forsake that guilt.
However Lord we can see there are tumultuous issues here. They are clearly not married. But we don't know if they are fornicating or living together in an immoral sinful lifestyle. We pray if they are for the strength to stop and seek repentance from this. Fornication is very dangerous and damaging physically and spiritually. We hope neither believe in the lie of living together that so many couples do. God will not bless fornication or living together. We pray by any means necessary Lord for you to remove this issue if it exists, and to convict their hearts if it does. We just do not know this detail and ask they examine their hearts with the Holy Spirit on this. We will also give instruction to Dyrwach on this shortly.
Should you bless this courtship, let us remind Dyrwach and Owen of what the Bible says. A woman must first be a godly woman for a man to be a godly man and husband. The husband and wife both must be Christians believing in Jesus Christ for their to be true unity. Will the husband be unbelieving and cling to an unbelieving wife? Yet if Dyrwach believes in Jesus because of Owen, both in scripture and practice we see that the couple is blessed because of what God calls good. For the believing wife, the unbelieving husband is sanctified. We pray Owen has come to a saving belief in Jesus Christ, or if not that Dyrwach will speak the truth in love to Owen. The believing wife serving the Lord with her husband should not be held down or bound to an unbelieving husband. That life would be hard even with God's help. We pray it is not so here. Also, if a man cannot lead his wife to Christ, he is not much of a leader or spiritual man. Christians are forbidden from unequally yoking themselves with unbelievers in marriage. We pray and believe this is not the case here. A believing wife must be free and in submission to Christ before their husband to God. The husband is the head of the household but the wife is first to be to God.
However, should Dyrwach not actually believe this they say, we also must discuss this and believe it to be so. There is no other name than by Jesus the Nazarene whom we can be saved. Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. For there is one God, and one mediator also between God and men, himself man, Christ Jesus, Who gave himself a ransom for all; the testimony to be testified in its own times If Owen does not believe this, Dyrwach must present Christ and His saving power to Owen. The power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek. For therein is revealed a righteousness of God from faith unto faith: as it is written, But the righteous shall live by faith. For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness; Because that which may be known of God is manifest in them; for God hath shewed it unto them. We also must consider there may be a presentation of the Gospel here. We will proceed under the assumption of belief in this gospel, but were it is not present we must open our hearts to the truth of the Gospel.
We pray Owen will value be proud of the woman in his life just as Christ values and loves the church. That is the model of a husband's love for his wife. Submitting yourselves one to another in the fear of God. Wives, substrate yourselves unto your own husbands, as unto the Lord. For the husband is the head of the wife, even as Christ is the head of the church: and he is the saviour of the body. Therefore as the church is subject unto Christ, so let the wives be to their own husbands in everything. Husband, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it; That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word, That he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish. So ought men to love their wives as their own bodies. He that loveth his wife loveth himself. For no man yet ever hated his own flesh; but nourisheth and cherisheth it, even as the Lord the church. As Oliver bowed to Valeria.
Dyrwach prays for reconciliation. When unbelieving, we have enmity towards each other. But when believing we can have unity. Dyrwach may be believing that she is able to earn the affection and forgiveness she so desperately wants. We must forsake and crucify this notion or any like this in ourselves. But when they measured themselves by one another and compared themselves with one another, they are not wise. Realize with Dyrwach that God is working in their hearts all things to the good, an eternal perspective is needed. But let us also remember that reconciliation will ultimately come if we as believers in Christ Jesus have to separate themselves from unbelievers lest they be unequally yoked. Do not be unequally yoked with unbelievers. For what partnership can righteousness have with wickedness? Or what fellowship can light have with darkness? For we are the temple of the living God. As God said: "I will live in them and walk among them. I will be their God, and they will be my people."What agreement is there between the temple of God and idols? For we are the temple of the living God. As God has said: "I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people What agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people. We are the temple of the living God. As God has said: "I will live with them and walk among them, and I will be their God, and they will be my people. Dyrwach if this is the case, look at where the idea of being "unequally yoked" is coming from and how it is originating in any relationship. Look at John and Jane over there and ask God why. See you are actually behaving like an unbeliever yourself. It may very be the root reason this relationship appears to have tension or being pushed away. If they are not believing in Christ Jesus, then a Christian should not be dating them. This means Christianity would be legalistic and not relational as God desires. And God we pray that you reveal yourself as Lord to Dyrwach and Owen.
We encourage Dyrwach to continue praying and trusting in God and especially Jesus Christ. Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and don't lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight (Proverbs 3:5-6 WEB). If Dyrwach truly believes in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, if they are not saved, pray for Owen first. Then their unsaved souls are the real issue here, not reconciliation. Pray for the salvation of Owen, and their self. The question to ask is not what God can do for me and Owen but what can I do for God. Is this relationship helping us to do that and grow in faith together or is it hindering it. Is this relationship hindering the Gospel and the Knowledge of Jesus Christ and God, or is it helping it Lord? If there is fornication, confess it. After salvation, become convicted of unconfessed sins. Come clean.
In closing Dyrwach we would like to challenge the notion we see. That Jesus is not a miracle worker. This is said nowhere in the Bible. Instead, we see miracles used to prove Jesus is Lord. In fact, this is prophecy fulfilled to prove that Jesus is Lord! Go tell that fox, 'Behold, I cast out demons and perform cures today and tomorrow, and the third day I complete my mission. Jesus said unto him, "Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself. On this hangs all the law and the prophets." If Jesus Christ were not a miracle worker, what kind of God would He be. And if a false religious spirit has somehow convinced Dyrwach to not believe in Jesus as a miracle worker, then we must first expose that lie. A miracle worker can cast off such thoughts. We pray for Dyrwach and Owen that the miracles of the Bible become real to them. We pray that they are a part of these miracles for themselves. After salvation. So Lord we pray give us this miracle of tasting and seeing that you are good. Grace upon grace lord. For in Christ Jesus all the fullness of the Deity lives in bodily form, 10 and in Christ you have been brought to fullness. He is the head over every power and authority. So Lord we need YOU in forms, and unbelief will have us not see it. But you Lord are good to give your people exactly what they need to see in this area and all others. We pray for miracles to restore and strengthen our belief in you Lord Jesus Christ.
But if this deeply rooted evil spiritual rebuke grey here is not from God, we then pray for God to reveal that this spirit is not of God Lord.
