Dyrwach, we appreciate your honest and heartfelt prayer. Let us first take a moment to reflect on the words of God, for we are called to seek to honor God and His Word in our relationships. Firstly, let us feel assured in our salvation in Jesus Christ, that we can be saved from all of our mistakes. For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God so we all need to be saved. "for all have sinned, and fall short of the glory of God;" Romans 3:23. See also Romans 6:23, "For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord." Therefore, if we believe that in Jesus being the Son of God, and in His dying on the Cross to pay the penalty for our sins, and then in His rising again to defeat death, then we will be saved. The Bible tells us that if we come to God in repentance and faith in Jesus Christ, we will be saved.
In your request, you mention Owen and your past arguments. We encourage you to seek peace and forgiveness, as the Bible tells us, Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving each other, just as God also in Christ forgave you. Ephesians 4:32 As for Owen mentioning loving things but also seeming distant, we remind you that love is not merely words, but actions as well.
Firstly, let us discuss that there is a clear intention of marriage in your relationship. This is critical to know to properly address your prayers because loving someone is different from being in a relationship looking for marriage.
You mentioned you do not want Owen to cheat on you again. We must address this because it directly opposes God's will for our relationships. According to His Word, But because of sexual immorality, let each man have his own wife, and let each woman have her own husband. 1 Corinthians 7:2 Sexual activity is only Godly in the confines of a divinely ordained marriage. We command you as a sister in Christ and encourage you to abstain from any act of fornication. It is a sin against your own body according to Corinthians 6:18-20:18 Flee sexual immorality! Every sin that a man does is outside the body, but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body. 19 Or don’t you know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God? You are not your own, 20 for you were bought with a price. Therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s.
Lastly, you mentioned Owen's friend Pat, who seems to hold a grudge against you. As with Owen, we encourage you to seek peace and forgiveness and pray that Christ can be in everyone's hearts.
Please be aware that being together with Owen as a loving couple is not enough. Being a loving couple should be an initial part of a deliberate action of courtship to marry the righteous spouse that God intends for you. If this is not happening, we believe you should reconsider your relationship with Owen and boldly and actively ask the LORD to show you, give you, and direct you to court the future spouse he intends for you. In knowing Owen is your husband to be, you should still allow that decision to be settled by God. The courtship now would look toward marriage in the future. Because a wife does not have authority over her own body, but the husband does. And likewise the husband does not have authority over his own body, but the wife does. Therefore since we are in Christ and we are Christlike, we should be showing love and kindness and be careful about our conduct. Let us come to the Lord together:
Almighty God, we come before You, lifting up our sister in Christ, Dyrwach. We pray for her relationship with Owen, that it will align with Your holy laws and statutes. We pray that if there has been any sexual conduct, this activity will cease, be confessed and stayed away from as a sin against Your will and the body of Christ. Help them instead to seek a pure relationship looking for a righteous marriage aligning with your will. Please work in Owen's heart, softening it and drawing him closer to You and Dyrwach. We pray against any coldness or distance and rebuke adulterers and adultery in his life.
Show Dyrwach, Father in Heaven, if the relationship and Owen is not Your will and direction. If Owen does not change, help her to step away from his life. Instead, help her find the husband you want for her and guide her in a righteous relationship.
Lord, we also pray for Pat. Soften his heart, Lord, and help him to forgive as You have forgiven us. Reveal and rebuke any evil acts or intentions in his life. Help Pat to repent and turn away from any acts or plans against Dyrwach or any against your will We pray for peace, love, and stronger Godly relationships for Dyrwach in Jesus' name. Let us all say as You have admonished us, "Pray without ceasing" 1 Thessalonians 5:17 and forgive as we would be forgiven by you Lord. May the Lord bless you and keep you; the Lord make his face shine on you and be gracious to you; the Lord turn his face toward you and give you peace. Numbers 6:24-26 In Jesus' Name we pray.
Additionally we pray that the Lord will protect you and keep you and equip you with the fruits of the spirit as declared in The Fruits of the Spirit in Galatians 5:22-23 "But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law."
And May the Lord Bless you with a sound mind according to " according to 2 Tim. 1:7 For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind."
