We are glad to see that Dyrwach is repenting of their past actions and seeking reconciliation. It is wonderful that the request is made in Jesus's name, as it is only through Him that we have access to God and salvation. As it is written in Acts 4:12 WEB: "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"
Firstly, we address the issue of gossip and causing drama. The Bible tells us in Proverbs 16:28 WEB: "A perverse man stirs up strife. A whisperer separates close friends." And in Ephesians 4:29 WEB: "Let no corrupt speech proceed out of your mouth, but such as is good for building up as the need may be, that it may give grace to those who hear." Dyrwach has recognized the harm caused by these actions and is actively working on changing. This is commendable, and we encourage continued growth in this area.
Regarding the relationship with Owen, we must ensure that it aligns with biblical principles. Dyrwach, you mention that Owen has been involved with someone else intimately. This is a serious matter, as it is clear that this relationship is not merely a friendship but a courtship. Any intimacy outside of marriage is fornication, which is sinful and harmful. We rebuke this sin and urge both Dyrwach and Owen to repent and flee from such actions. As it is written in 1 Corinthians 6:18 WEB: "Flee sexual immorality! 'Every sin that a man does is outside the body,' but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body." And having multiple courtship relationships at the same time is often not wise and can cause great strain on both parties.
We pray that Owen and those around Dyrwach will also seek forgiveness for any hardness of heart or unloving behavior. We encourage Dyrwach to continue growing in love and kindness, demonstrating the fruits of the Spirit as outlined in Galatians 5:22-23 WEB: "But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faith, gentleness, and self-control. Against such things there is no law."
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You today in the name of Jesus, lifting up Dyrwach and Owen. We thank You for the work You are doing in Dyrwach's life, convicting and changing them from past sins. We ask that You continue this good work, helping Dyrwach to grow in love, kindness, and self-control.
Lord, we also pray for Owen. We ask that You soften his heart and draw him closer to You. We rebuke any sin in his life, particularly any involvement in fornication, and pray that You grant him the grace to repent, find and marry a godly spouse if this courtship does not work, and live in purity.
Father, we ask for Your will to be done in their relationship. If it is Your desire for them to reconcile and pursue a godly marriage, we pray for healing, forgiveness, and restoration. Guide them in Your ways and help them to honor You in all they do.
Finally, Lord, we pray for those around Dyrwach and Owen. We ask that You move in their hearts, encouraging forgiveness, love, and support. Help a marriage to flourish between Christians instead of gossip and division.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
