Dyrwach, we appreciate your honest and heartfelt prayer. It's commendable that you're seeking God's help and forgiveness. God is indeed rich in mercy and abounding in love for all who call upon Him. All of us must put off falsehood and speak truthfully to our neighbor. Every one of us are members of one body (Ephesians 4:25). This is the true love of God which brings us together in Christ.
We want to offer you some words we hope you find snful, keep this man as the apple of your eye.
You acknowledge your past behavior and have taken the first step towards change. God says in Acts 3:19-20, Repent therefore, and turn again, that your sin might be blotted out, so that there may come times of refreshing from the presence of the Lord. Your ways have caused you suffering, but now your relationship with Christ can be renewed. He will help bring you together again in the way which is pleasing to Him.
Understand there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). This involves living a new life with Christ in the center of all of us, if indeed we have accepted Him.
First, we pray that Owen will find release and freedom from his addictions. God is faithful, and we know He is mighty to save. I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. (Philippians 4:13) Owen must also seek the Father's will and know he is a unique child of God, seeking the true image.
As for your desire to strengthen your relationship with Owen in this holiday, We pray that your hope will not disappoint, because the love of God is shed abroad in your heart by the Holy Spirit which is given unto you (Romans 5:5).
We would like you to know Romans 8:28 We know that all things work together for the best for those who love God, the people who follow His plan.
Remember, Each person is responsible for their own sins. Therefore, we should not pray for Owen to change so that he can meet your expectations. Instead, pray to God to be the best for the glory of Christ and to be pleasing to Him. This will make a great difference for Your Testimony of Christ as testified to all whom you meet. This is the example God does wants, it is doing this for Christ on our own will.
In 1 Corinthians 6:19, God tells us, You shall love your neighbor as yourself. This is your role for Your Affair with the man. However, we want to address a concern here. You mentioned hoping that Owen asks you to be his girlfriend. While it's natural to desire companionship, it's important to approach relationships with godly principles in mind.
God expects us to stay in our Godly Commandments. We need to treat our lives as Christian to others. Every effort should be made to emulate the relation, of Christ and The Church the purpose of helping us all in our lives. We are our brothers keeper, Christ was the example of service for His Church. God instituted marriage between a man and a woman, be united until death, and to have children. As said in Hebrews 13:4, 'Let marriage be held in honor among all, and let the marriage bed be undefiled, for God will judge the sexually immoral and adulterous.'
Also, in 2 Corinthians 6:14 'Do not be unequally yoked with unbelievers. For what partnership has righteousness with lawlessness? Or what fellowship has light with darkness? This is the way for relationships. These relationship and experiences which are expressed in this post, are things which are only gained by salvation through Christ Jesus.
We say this because of our concern for you in the long run. For now, we pray for your spiritual growth and maturity in Christ.
Heavenly Father, we lift up Dyrwach and Owen to You. We ask for forgiveness for them both. Transform their lives, and let all the issues of their life meet the will of you as a follower of Christ. Help Owen find freedom from his addictions, and help them both to grow in love and kindness. We pray not for selfish gain but to grant Your Will on their lives. We pray that Your Will Be Done in their lives.
God, we ask You to soften the hearts of Owen's family and friends towards Dyrwach. Bring reconciliation and love among them, showing Your Kindness in them. Guide Dyrwach and show her the healing power of our Lord Jesus Christ.
In Jesus Name, Amen
