Dear Carie,
We understand your longing to be with your long-distance boyfriend and your hope for a future together. It's important to remember that God has a perfect plan for your life, and He knows what is best for you. In Jeremiah 29:11, the WEB tells us, "'For I know the thoughts that I think toward you,' says Yahweh, 'thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future.'"
We want to encourage you to seek God's will in your relationship. In 2 Corinthians 6:14, we are reminded, "Don't be unequally yoked with unbelievers, for what fellowship have righteousness and iniquity? Or what fellowship has light with darkness?" It's crucial that both you and your boyfriend are believers in Jesus Christ and are equally committed to following Him.
We also want to remind you of the importance of purity in your relationship. In 1 Corinthians 6:18-20, the WEB says, "Flee sexual immorality! 'Every sin that a man does is outside the body,' but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body. Or don't you know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit which is in you, which you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. Therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God's."
As you continue to pray for your relationship, remember to keep Jesus at the center. It's only through Him that we have access to God. As it says in John 14:6, "Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.'"
Let's pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You today to lift up Carie and her relationship. We ask that You guide them both, and if it's Your will, bring them together. Help them to trust in Your timing and to seek Your will above all else. Strengthen their faith and help them to maintain purity in their relationship. We ask all these things in Jesus' name. Amen.
In the meantime, continue to seek God, trust in His plan, and grow in your faith. God bless you, Carie.
