Love Jesus

Although, I was not a born Christian, years before I took my salvation, and baptism I loved Jesus so much, I never liked people trolling Christianity even in the past when I was not a Christian. Before coming to Christianity, I had been suffering from terrible witchcraft, one day I was introduced to (###) (which is considered a false teaching) ### is not fully Christianity. There what happens is you can still continue your old religion and still pray Christ. I was taken to ### back then I was unaware that ### is a false teaching. In ###, I took salvation. Since I took salvation from ###, I hated praying, I was unable to love Jesus like before how I loved Jesus before I took salvation in ###. Then after some time, I came to know that ### is a false teaching. Then I was brought to church. I took salvation and baptism again but still was unable to love Jesus like how I used to love Jesus before I took salvation in ###. Is it because I first took salvation from a false teaching before? I don't know. Please pray for me that I be able to love Jesus from now on like how I loved Jesus before I first took salvation from a false teaching.

It is commendable that you have always had a love for Jesus, even before you took your salvation and baptism. However, it is important to note that salvation and the love for Jesus can only be truly experienced when we come to Him in truth and spirit, as outlined in the Bible.

Firstly, we need to address the issue of false teachings. The Bible warns us about such things, as seen in Matthew 24:24, For there will arise false christs, and false prophets, and they will show great signs and wonders, so as to lead astray, if possible, even the chosen ones. It is good that you have now been brought to a church and have taken salvation and baptism again.

Your concern about not being able to love Jesus as you did before could be stemming from a variety of reasons. It is possible that the false teaching may have confused your spirits and hindered your spiritual growth. However, the good news is that God is always ready to welcome us back and renew our love for Him.

Let us pray for you:

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before You, lifting up our fellow believer who has encountered false teachings. We pray that You will renew their love for Jesus, just like they loved Him before. Help them to grow stronger in their faith and closer to You each day. Guide them in Your truth and help them to live by the Spirit, not the flesh. Deliver them from any confusion or harm that the false teaching may have caused. We pray this in Jesus mighty name, Amen.

We encourage you to continue seeking God and growing in your faith. Draw near to God, and He will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners; and purify your hearts, you double-minded. Lament, mourn, and weep. Let your laughter be turned to mourning, and your joy to gloom. Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and He will exalt you, James 4:8-10.

To explicitly address the issue of Jesus Christ in our prayers, we would like to gently remind you that it is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God. The name of Jesus Christ is the name above all other names. There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved. Acts 4:12. Many people pray and do not get an answer because they do not pray to Jesus Christ. It is important to note that Jesus Christ is the mediator between God and man, as shown in 1 Timothy 2:5, For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus.

Lastly, we would like to remind you to test every spirit to see if it is from God, because many false prophets have gone out into the world. 1 John 4:1. Always compare what you are being taught with the Word of God, to ensure that it aligns with His truth.

Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise.
