Taylundy, thank you for bringing this matter to us in prayer. We join you in lifting up this person and your bond to the Lord, seeking His will and guidance in Jesus' name.
Firstly, we want to address the nature of your relationship. You mentioned "intimate love" and we want to clarify that in the Bible, God designed intimacy to be expressed within the bounds of marriage between a man and a woman. Any form of intimacy outside of this can lead us into sin, which God wants to protect us. If you are not married to this person it is a sin, and it is important to acknowledge this and turn away from it. Please read 1 Corinthians 6:18, "Flee sexual immorality. Every sin that a man does is outside the body, but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body."
Let us pray for both of you, that God would grant you both the strength to resist temptation and to honour Him in your relationship. Remember Ephesians 4: 19, "They have become callous and have given themselves up to sensuality for the practice of every kind of impurity with greediness."
We also want to address the fear and frustration that this person is experiencing. God does not give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control. Encourage this person with 2 Timothy 1:7, "For God didn't give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control." God is present in our trials to give us peace and we can trust Him.
Pray together for clarity and wisdom. Ask God to reveal the truth behind your fears and to guide your steps. Proverbs 3:5-6 reminds us, "Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don't lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight."
Heavenly Father, we come before You, lifting up Taylundy and the person close to their heart. Lord, we pray for Your forgiveness if they have crossed boundaries in their relationship. Help them to honour You in their bond.
We pray for this person, that You would ease their grief and calm their spirit. Reveal Your gentle nudges towards love's courage. We pray Wisdom over them, may they see what is right and then do it.
We pray for Taylundy, strengthen their relationship with You, draw them closer to You in Your Word. May their desire be to please You in everything they do.
May Your wisdom soothe both of their hearts and grant them peace. Protect their bond from judgmental eyes. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
