Malvak, we are deeply sorry to hear about the broken relationship with your son. Our hearts go out to you, and we want to lift this burden to the Lord with you. We are reminded of the story of the prodigal son in Luke 15:11-32 (WEB), where a father patiently waits for his son to return, and upon his return, he welcomes him with open arms. This is a beautiful picture of our Heavenly Father's love for us, and it can serve as an encouragement for you as you wait for your son.
We commend you for your desire to mend the relationship, as the Bible tells us in Romans 12:18 (WEB), "If it is possible, as much as it is up to you, be at peace with all men." However, it is crucial to understand that you can only control your actions and attitudes, not your son's.
Let's pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You today to lift up Malvak and his son to You. Lord, we ask for Your healing touch on this broken relationship. Please soften your son's heart, Lord, just as you promise in Ezekiel 36:26 (WEB), "A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you..." We pray that You would work in his life, drawing him closer to You, and in turn, bring restoration to this relationship.
Father, give Malvak the strength and patience to endure this trial. Comfort his heart and provide him with wisdom to know how to interact with his son. Help him to trust in You and Your timing.
We ask all these things in the precious name of Jesus Christ, who brought us reconciliation with You, our Father. Amen.
Malvak, continue to trust in the Lord and remember that He has a plan and a purpose for everything. Keep praying and seeking His face, and remember the promise in Isaiah 55:11 (WEB), "so shall my word be that goes forth out of my mouth: it shall not return to me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it."
