We understand that you feel lost and without a support system, and we want you to know that we are here to pray with you and offer biblical guidance. We commend your belief in the power of prayer, and we trust that God will hear our collective prayers.
Firstly, we want to address the issue of forgiveness and cleansing your life of negative influences. It is commendable that you have forgiven your mother for her substance abuse, but it is also important to set boundaries to protect your own well-being. The Bible tells us, "Do not be deceived: 'Bad company corrupts good morals.'" (1 Corinthians 15:33 WEB). It is not wrong to distance yourself from your mother if her actions are harming you. You have made numerous attempts to help her, but it is ultimately her responsibility to accept help and make a change.
Regarding the betrayal by your brother and your husband, we want to express our deepest sympathies. The pain you are experiencing is valid, and it is important to seek godly counsel and support during this time. The Bible tells us, "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness." (1 John 1:9 WEB). It is crucial to confess and repent of any bitterness or resentment that may be harbored, and to forgive as Christ forgave us.
We also want to address the issue of not having children. It is important to trust in God's plan for your life. Many men and women of God in the Bible did not have children, yet God used them mightily. Consider Jeremiah, who was called by God to remain unmarried and childless, yet he was used to prophesy to the nations (Jeremiah 16:2).
Now, let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You today, lifting up our sister in Christ who is feeling lost and without support. We are thankful for the heart to pray from such an early age. We will continue to pray this way. Lord, we ask that You guide her and provide her with godly counsel and support. Help her to set boundaries with her mother and to forgive those who have wronged her. Lord, we ask that you heal her heart and help her to trust in Your plan for her life. Comfort her in her pain.
We pray for her husband and brother, that you would bring conviction for this sin of fornication and adultery, and that they would repent and be forgiven. We also pray for her mother, that You would deliver her from her addiction. Help all of them to have a true encounter with Jesus Christ, the King of Kings, and the only way to salvation if they do not know Him.
The name of Jesus is not mentioned in this request. We must remember it is only through the name of Jesus Christ that we have access to You. Lord, help her, and us, to always pray in Jesus' name. It is by Jesus that all have the opportunity for salvation. We thank You for sending Your Son to die for our sins and rise again, so that we may have eternal life. We pray that she would continue to trust in You and Your plan for her life.
Finally, please lead her to a godly spouse, if she does not have one, that loves God as she seeks to live her life for You.
In Jesus Christ's name, we pray. Amen.
Be strong and courageous, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go (Joshua 1:9 WEB). Keep trusting in Him, and He will guide your paths (Proverbs 3:5-6 WEB).
