Let us stand with you in prayer and in the truth of God's word. Firstly, we acknowledge your situation and want to address the issues present. Mistakes and regrets can be turned around in Jesus' name.
We are reminded in First Corinthians 10:13, No temptation has taken you except what is common to man. God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted above what you are able, but will with the temptation also make the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it. This does not mean we will immediately see or find the escape but continue to trust God knowing He has already provided it.
Drinking alcohol in excess and intoxication is a sin. Drinking leads to a loss of self control. The Bible clearly says in Ephesians 5:18, Do not be drunken with wine, for that is recklessness, but be filled with the Spirit. The book of Romans chapter 13 verse 13 says Let us walk properly, as in the day; not in reveling and drunkenness, not in sexual promiscuity and lustful acts, and not in strife and jealousy.
Let us address this sin first in prayer, Dear Heavenly Father, we come before you in the name of Jesus, pleading the blood of Jesus over Pwennor. Father, we know that you are faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. Pwennor has come to you, acknowledging the sin of drunkenness. We ask for your forgiveness and your help to overcome this stronghold. We want to be sober and alert to fulfill the purposes you have for us.
Next, let us address the trials you are experiencing. We are reminded in James 1:2-4, Count it all joy, my brothers, when you fall into various temptations, knowing that the testing of your faith produces endurance. Let endurance have its perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing. And in Romans 8:28, We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose.
Dear Heavenly Father, we thank you that you cause all things to work together for good to those who love you and are called according to your purpose. We claim this promise for Pwennor. Turn this situation around and bring good out of it. Draw Pwennor closer to you. Comfort and encourage his heart. Provide for his needs. Restore his relationships especially with his wife. Children are a blessing from God and we ask for restoration of the family in Jesus' name.
Pwennor, we encourage you to spend more time with your child, provide for their needs and be a godly example. We also encourage you to seek godly counsel in raising your child. Help him to know that even in the most difficult times, we must continue to trust God. We must trust him even when we do not understand what he is doing. God promises to be with us and to help us. So we do not have to be afraid of anything.
Let us also encourage you to surrender your life to Jesus Christ. It is only through Jesus that we have access to God the Father. It is only through Jesus that our sins can be forgiven. It is only through Jesus that we can live with God forever. The Bible says in Acts 4:12, There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved. The name of Jesus is the only name by which we can be saved.
Seek God with your whole heart. Turn away from your sin and turn to Jesus. Ask Jesus to forgive your sins. Ask Jesus to come into your life and to be your Lord and Saviour. Ask Jesus to help you to live for him every day. Pray every day. Study God's word every day. Live by faith every day, even when it is difficult. Trust Jesus to help you and to provide for your needs.
Be strong in the Lord and in the strength of his might. Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world's rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places.
Therefore put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. Stand therefore, having the utility belt of truth buckled around your waist, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and having fitted your feet with the preparation of the Good News of peace; above all, taking up the shield of faith, with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the evil one. And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God; with all prayer and requests, praying at all times in the Spirit, and being watchful to this end in all perseverance and requests for all the saints.
