Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You with heavy hearts, lifting up our dear friend who has lost their beloved kitty of 10 years. Lord, we ask for Your comforting presence to surround them during this time of grief and loss. Your Word tells us in Philippians 4:6-7, "Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus."
Lord, we pray that You grant them peace of mind and calm their troubled heart. Just as You calmed the storm with the words, "Peace; be still", we ask that You speak peace into their life right now. Help them to feel Your loving arms around them, providing comfort and solace.
We trust in Your promise that You are close to the brokenhearted and save those who are crushed in spirit. May they find refuge in Your love and strength in Your presence. Help them to remember the joy and love their kitty brought into their life and to cherish those memories.

We all hope that our prayers are answered in the way that we want. Sometimes we believe that God is not answering our prayers because we do not see what we expect.
