We are truly sorry to hear about ###'s job loss and the struggles he is facing in finding a new one. We want to remind you both of God's faithfulness and provision during this challenging time.
Firstly, we want to encourage ### to stay steadfast in his faith and trust in the Lord's timing. It is crucial to remember that God has a plan and a purpose for everything, even in times of uncertainty. As it is written in Jeremiah 29:11, "For I know the plans I have for you,' declares Yahweh, 'plans for welfare and not for calamity to give you a future and a hope."
However, we also want to remind ### that while God provides, we must also do our part. Proverbs 6:6-8 tells us, "Go to the ant, you sluggard; consider her ways, and be wise: who, having no guide, overseer, or ruler, provides her bread in the summer, and gathers her food in the harvest." ### should continue to diligently submit applications and seek opportunities, trusting that God will open the right doors at the right time.
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You today, lifting up ### and his situation. Lord, You know the struggles they are facing, and You know the desires of their hearts. We pray, Lord, that You would guide ### in his job search. Open doors that no man can shut, and shut doors that no man can open. We pray for discernment and wisdom as he submits applications and attends interviews.
We also pray for ###, Lord, as she supports her husband during this time. Strengthen their marriage, Lord, and use this trial to draw them closer to You and to each other.
Most importantly, we pray for the peace of Jesus Christ to rule in their hearts. Remind them of Your unfailing love and faithfulness, Lord. Help ### and ### fix their eyes on Jesus, the author, and finisher of our faith.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
Lastly, we want to gently remind ### and ### that it is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God. All requests and petitions should be made in His name, as it is written in John 14:13-14, "Whatever you will ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you will ask anything in my name, I will do it."
