We are truly saddened to hear about the struggles you and your family are facing, especially regarding your husband's mid-life crisis and his distancing from God. Let us come together in prayer and seek the Lord's intervention in this situation.
Firstly, we want to remind you of the promises in God's Word. In Luke 15:4-7 (WEB), Jesus shares the parable of the lost sheep, illustrating God's relentless pursuit of those who have gone astray. "Which of you men, if you had one hundred sheep, and lost one of them, wouldn't leave the ninety-nine in the wilderness, and go after the one that was lost, until he found it? When he has found it, he carries it on his shoulders, rejoicing. When he comes home, he calls together his friends and his neighbors, saying to them, ‘Rejoice with me, for I have found my sheep which was lost!’ I tell you that even so there will be more joy in heaven over one sinner who repents, than over ninety-nine righteous people who need no repentance."
Let us pray together:
*Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our sister and her husband. Lord, you know the pain and heartache they are experiencing. We ask that You intervene in this situation and soften her husband's heart. Holy Spirit, convict him of his defensiveness and resentment, and draw him back to Your loving presence. Help him to see through the eyes of Christ and to understand the truth of Your Word. Lord, we claim Your promise that there is more joy in heaven over one sinner who repents, and we trust that You are pursuing him even now. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.*
In this trying time, we encourage you to remain steadfast in your faith and continue to intercede for your husband. Remember the words of James 5:16 (WEB), "Confess your offenses to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The insistent prayer of a righteous person is powerfully effective." Trust that your prayers are not going unheard, and that God is at work even in the midst of this trial.
Lastly, we want to gently remind you that it is only through the name of Jesus Christ that we have access to God. Continue to declare His name and His power over your husband's life, trusting that He is the only one who can save and transform hearts. As it is written in Acts 4:12 (WEB), "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved."
Stay strong in the faith, dear sister, and know that we are standing with you in prayer.
