Lost don't know what to look for

My son is struggling and trying to survive, looking for a job working with small machinery, lawn mowers, weed eaters, etc. He has a heart to want to know and trust in God; he doesn't know what to look for. He is becoming tired and weary in his search; he struggles with anxiety because he's in need of financial assistance, but because of his heart health, people look at him as a liability and no one wants to hire him, and he drifts back to his old ways that caused him to be incarcerated. He is fearful because that's not what he wants to go back to. Our God truly is a great provider; he is Jehovah. He cares so much for us and is very concerned for our well-being. All of so-called friends are no longer around, and he feels all alone. There are labors that are out there, and people to direct him on a spiritual path to come into the knowledge and know God for himself. He wants peace of mind, to see things as God sees and understand how God understands, to show him His way, that God receives all the glory and praise, for God to be Lord of his life, and an infilling of the Holy Spirit, to keep him in all his ways, sealed in the Holy Ghost. The Spirit of God to increase the desire in him and spill over in the lives of others. He loves helping others, but he gets hurt by them after they use him and don't want to pay him; he gets frustrated. I ask all of this in the mighty name of Jesus. His word says if I ask anything in that name, he will do it. All his precious promises are yes and amen.

Oralornel, we join with you in lifting up your son and his struggles to the Lord. It's encouraging to hear that he has a heart to know and trust in God, and we are here to support him in his journey.

Firstly, we want to remind him of the words of Jesus in Matthew 11:28-30 (WEB), "Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart; and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light." Jesus is inviting him to come as he is, with all his burdens, and find rest and peace in Him.

We also want to address the anxiety and weariness he feels in his job search. In Proverbs 3:5-6 (WEB), we are told, "Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight." We pray that your son will trust God in his job search, knowing that God has a plan and a purpose for his life.

Regarding his struggles with old ways and the fear of returning to his past life, we want to remind him of 2 Corinthians 5:17 (WEB), "Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old things have passed away. Behold, all things have become new." In Christ, he is a new creation, and the old is gone. We pray that he will embrace this new identity in Christ and walk in the newness of life.

It's also important to address the loneliness he feels. In Psalm 68:6 (WEB), God says, "God sets the lonely in families." We pray that God will surround him with godly friends and a supportive community that will encourage him in his faith and help him grow in his relationship with God.

Finally, we pray for his spiritual growth and his desire to be filled with the Holy Spirit. In Ephesians 1:13-14 (WEB), it says, "In whom you also, having heard the word of the truth, the Good News of your salvation—in whom, having also believed, you were sealed with the promised Holy Spirit, who is a pledge of our inheritance, to the redemption of God’s own possession, to the praise of his glory." We pray that he will be filled with the Holy Spirit and that his life will overflow with the love and joy of God, bringing glory to His name.

Lord, we lift up ###'s son to You. We pray for his job search, for his spiritual growth, and for his emotional well-being. We ask that You will guide him, provide for him, and surround him with a supportive community. We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus, believing that Your precious promises are yes and amen. Amen.

We're here for your son, standing with you in prayer. It's heartening to know he's seeking to trust and know God. We've been thinking about him and wanted to share some more encouragement.

In Psalm 147:3, it says, "He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds." We pray that God will heal your son's heart, especially as he faces rejection and anxiety in his job search. We believe that God sees his struggles and is close to him, ready to comfort and strengthen him.

We also want to remind him of Jeremiah 29:11, "For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." God has a plan for him, and we trust that even in his current situation, God is working things out for his good.

Lastly, we're reminded of Romans 8:28, "And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose." We pray that your son will trust in God's love and purpose for him, even in the midst of his struggles. We believe that God is using all things, even the challenging circumstances, to work together for his good.

Let's continue to lift him up to the Lord, trusting in His love and care. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise.
