Heavenly Father;
We come before You on behalf of this broken mother, whose heart is heavy with the trials she is facing. Lord, we lift her into Your loving hands, asking for Your mercy, strength, and guidance to surround her in this time of need. Your Word in Psalm 34:18 reminds us, “The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.” Father, draw near to her and let her feel Your comforting presence.
Lord, we pray for her as she copes with the pain of losing the custody battle for her daughter. We ask that You watch over her child, protecting her and keeping her safe. May Your will prevail, and may this mother remain a part of her daughter’s life, building a relationship filled with love, grace, and healing. As Jesus said in Matthew 19:14, “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.” Father, let Your hand of protection and care be upon this precious child.
We also bring before You the unborn daughter she carries and her father. Lord, we trust that You have a purpose in bringing them back together, and we pray for Your will to be done in their relationship and their family. Let their hearts be filled with forgiveness, unity, and love, as Your Word teaches in Colossians 3:13, “Bear with each other and forgive one another if any of you has a grievance against someone. Forgive as the Lord forgave you.” Grant them strength to persevere through challenges together and to rely on You as the foundation of their family.
Father, we ask for Your mercy in the courtroom tomorrow. We pray that the plea deal for a lesser sentence will be accepted by the judge and that Your favor will rest upon her. As it says in Proverbs 21:1, “In the Lord’s hand the king’s heart is a stream of water that he channels toward all who please him.” Guide the judge’s heart to show compassion and fairness.
Lord, this mother seeks Your forgiveness for her mistakes, and we thank You for Your promise in 1 John 1:9, “If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.” May she be reminded of Your unfailing love and grace that covers all transgressions.
We also pray for peace to replace the worry and fear in her heart and mind, as well as in the heart and mind of her baby’s father. Let Your peace that surpasses all understanding guard their hearts, as promised in Philippians 4:6-7, “Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”
Father, we ask for Your protection over her unborn child. Let her pregnancy be safe and free from complications, and may this child be born at the right time under Your care. We also pray that 2025 will be a year of renewal, restoration, and peace for her. As Your Word declares in Isaiah 43:18-19, “Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past. See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland.” Lord, make a way for her to start anew and prove herself as a loving and devoted mother.
Father, surround her with people sent by You who will support and uplift her. Let her find strength in Your promises and guidance for her path ahead. May she always remember that You are a God of second chances, and Your plans for her life are good, as written in Jeremiah 29:11, “For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”
In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.
