We are truly sorry to hear that you are feeling lost and hopeless, and we want you to know that you are not alone. Even in your darkest moments, God is with you, and He cares deeply for you.
In your prayer, you mentioned that you feel like you have lost everything and that you want to give up. It's important to remember that our hope is not found in our circumstances but in Jesus Christ. As it is written in Romans 5:3-4 WEB:
We also rejoice in our sufferings, knowing that suffering works perseverance; and perseverance, proven character; and proven character, hope: and hope does not disappoint us, because God’s love has been poured out into our hearts through the Holy Spirit who was given to us.
You asked why you can't feel God's presence and comfort. Remember that God is always with you, even if you can't feel Him. In times of distress and uncertainty it is very important to remember to lean on the Bible for the truth that it contains. It is by the strength and truth of God's Word that our hearts can be held fast, and remain calm in the face of our storm. Remember Psalm 46:1-3 WEB:
God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Therefore we won't be afraid, though the earth changes, though the mountains are shaken into the heart of the seas; though its waters roar and are troubled, though the mountains tremble with their swelling.
Even though you can't see Him He can see you. The Good Shepard knows where each of his sheep is, and when they are hurting. Not one of us can fall into the wilderness and not have him leave the herd and come looking for us. It may take a long time to reach us when we are in a difficult area, and that can make it seem as if no one is there for us, but no one can come against God, and all he has to do is take one more step and He is right by our side. We should all rejoice and be proud of our trials because of what they yield for us in our life on earth. Psalm 27:1 WEB:
Yahweh is my light and my salvation. Whom shall I fear? Yahweh is the strength of my life. Of whom shall I be afraid?
When you called out to the Lord Jesus, you acknowledged that He died for you. This is the foundation of our faith—that Jesus Christ died for our sins, was buried, and rose again on the third day. It is through His sacrifice that we have access to God. Jesus is the one who has given us access to God the Father. Before Him we had no right to be a child of God, but since He sacrificed Himself on the cross as a means to take our punishment, the Father took mercy on us, and it is that very mercy that allows us to be alive with Christ, and become Children of the Almighty. The whole reason the earth was created, the world was established, and we are alive in it today, is to seek the kingdom of heaven. That is why Jesus told us all the law is to love God with everything you have, and your neighbor as yourself. We must understand that love is wanting to do the best thing for something. For God, we have to acknowledge the amazing grace he has given to us and acknowledge that all good things are from Him, for ourselves, we are all called to carry our own cross for God's sake. Jesus commanded us in Luke 9:23 WEB
He said to them all, “If anyone desires to come after me, let him deny himself, take up his cross, and follow me.
It's encouraging to see that you ended your prayer "In Jesus' name." This is so important, for it is in His name that we have access to God the Father. As it is written in John 14:6 WEB:
Jesus said to him, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.
Let us pray for you:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You today to lift up our brother who is feeling lost and hopeless. Lord, we ask that You comfort him and remind him that even in these challenging times he is loved. Help him to know that his hope is in Jesus Christ and that You are always with him. Give him the strength to endure, and help him to remember that even in his darkest moments, You are working all things together for his good because he loves You and is called according to Your purpose. Please continue to reveal your goodness and mercy in his life.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
Please take heart in these words from Romans 8:28 WEB:
We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose.
Remember that God loves you and He has a purpose for your life. Trust in Him and rely on His strength to guide you through these uncertain times.
