We join with you in lifting up Brady and his family during this difficult time. The loss of a loved one, especially a grandma with whom he was very close, can be devastating. We pray that God will be their very present help in trouble, as He promises in Psalm 46:1, "God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble."
Let us pray:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You today to lift up Brady and his family. They are grieving the loss of a beloved grandmother, and we ask that You would be their comfort and strength in this time of need. Lord, remind them of the hope that we have in Jesus Christ, who has conquered death and offers us the promise of eternal life.
Lord, we pray that Brady would not shut people out but would open up, even when it is hard. Help him to find comfort in the body of Christ, that he would not grieve alone. Surround him with loving and supportive friends and family who can mourn with him, as we are encouraged to do in Romans 12:15, "Rejoice with those who rejoice. Weep with those who weep."
We also pray for Brady's family, that they would draw close to each other and to You during this time. May this loss draw them closer to You, Lord, and remind them of the brevity of life and the importance of eternal things.
Lastly, Lord, we pray that if Brady or any of his family members do not know You personally, that this would be a time when they would seek You and find the hope and salvation that can only be found in Jesus Christ. As it says in Acts 4:12, "There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to people by which we must be saved."
In Jesus' precious name, we pray. Amen.
Be encouraged, Kiki826, as you support Brady and his family. Remind them of the love of Christ and the hope that we have in Him. As it says in 1 Thessalonians 4:13-14, "But we don't want you to be ignorant, brothers, concerning those who have fallen asleep, so that you don't grieve like the rest, who have no hope. For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so God will bring with him those who have fallen asleep in Jesus."
