Regarding the need for understanding and love for God's Word and ways for the wife and child, we ask Heavenly Father, You are the source of all understanding and wisdom. We pray that You would open the hearts and minds of this wife and child to receive Your Word and Your ways. Grant them a deep hunger and thirst for Your truth, and give them the grace to walk in Your will. We ask for their understanding of Your will through Your Word as it is written, "The entirety of Your word is truth, and all Your righteous judgments endure forever," Psalm 119:160. We pray that they would be guided by Your Word, which is a lamp to their feet and a light to their path, Psalm 119:105. We ask that they would be sanctified by Your truth, for Your word is truth, John 17:17. We pray that they would not be taken out of the world, but that You would keep them from the evil one, John 17:15. We ask for their saving faith in Jesus as a gift, Ephesians 2:8, by hearing the Word about believing in God's only begotten Son, John 3:16, and may faith come by hearing the word, Romans 10:17. May they know that "From infancy you have known the Holy Scriptures, which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith in Christ Jesus. All Scripture is inspired by God and is useful to teach us what is true and to make us realize what is wrong in our lives. It corrects us when we are wrong and teaches us to do what is right," 2 Timothy 3:15-16. Thank you in Jesus' name.
For the earthquake relief, we pray Father, we lift up the rescue workers and all those affected by the earthquake. We ask for Your mercy and healing for the injured, and comfort for those who are grieving. We pray for Your protection over the youth and elderly, and for Your help in turning people's hearts towards You in this time of need. We pray for Your guidance and strength for the hospitals and workers as they care for the injured and work to restore communities. We pray that You would use this tragedy to draw people to Yourself, that they may find hope and salvation in You. We pray for Your wall of fire around the area, protecting it from further harm and evil influences, Zechariah 2:5, Psalm 91:10-11, John 17:15, 2 Thessalonians 3:2-3. Thank you in Jesus' name.
