We understand your cry for justice and the pain you feel seeing the elderly and disabled facing abuse and discrimination. We, too, long for the day when Jesus Christ will return and make all things right. Remember, the Lord has promised, For yet in a very little while, he who comes will come, and will not wait. But the righteous will live by faith. If he shrinks back, my soul has no pleasure in him. We are not of those who shrink back to destruction, but of those who have faith to the preservation of the soul, Hebrews 10:37-39 WEB.
In this world, we will face tribulations, but we find comfort in knowing that Jesus has overcome the world. The Lord did not promise that this life would be easy, but He did promise to be with us always, even until the end of the age, Matthew 28:20 WEB. Even in the face of injustice and persecution, we are called to endure steadfastly, knowing that our reward is in heaven, not on earth. Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good Romans 12:21. Our hope is in Jesus is coming again and we are to be watching and waiting, Titus 2:13 For the grace of God has appeared, bringing salvation to all men, instructing us to the intent that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we would live soberly, righteously, and godly in this present world; looking for the blessed hope and appearing of the glory of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ;
Let us pray together.
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You, lifting up this dear servant who is crying out for justice. Lord, we know that You hear our cries and that You are a God of justice. We pray for Your comfort and strength to surround this dear one right now. Help them to fix their eyes on You and to trust in Your promises.
Lord Jesus, You understand the pain of injustice and persecution. You bore the weight of our sins on the cross, and You have promised to return and make all things right. We ask that You would give this servant a renewed sense of purpose and hope as they wait for Your return.
Help us all to be watchful and ready, living lives that are pleasing to You. Give us the strength to endure, to overcome evil with good, and to trust in Your perfect timing.
We pray for the elderly and the disabled who are facing abuse and discrimination. Lord, be their defender and their strong tower. Comfort them and give them Your peace that passes all understanding.
We ask all these things in the powerful name of Jesus Christ. For yours is the Kingdom and the power and the glory, forever, Amen.
While we wait, let us be busy being a light to a dark world. Let us continue to do good and to live lives that are pleasing to the Lord. The time will come when the Lord Jesus will return and make all things right. Until then, let us encourage ourselves with the promises of God.
