We join with you, ThankfulBC, in your prayer for unity, as it is a powerful and necessary aspect of our walk with God and our fellowship with one another.
We are reminded of Jesus' prayer for His disciples in John 17:20-23 (WEB), "Not for these only do I pray, but for those also who will believe in me through their word, that they may all be one; even as you, Father, are in me, and I in you, that they also may be one in us; that the world may believe that you sent me. The glory which you have given me, I have given to them; that they may be one, even as we are one; I in them, and you in me, that they may be perfected into one; that the world may know that you sent me, and loved them, even as you loved me."
Let us pray together:
*Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, seeking unity with You and with each other. Lord, we ask that our marriages be centered around You, that husbands and wives would submit to one another out of reverence for Christ, as instructed in Ephesians 5:21. May our churches be united as Your sons and daughters, working together to impact this world for Your glory.*
*Lord, we rebuke any spirit of division or discord that seeks to disrupt our unity. We remind ourselves of Romans 15:5-6 (WEB), "Now the God of patience and of comfort grant you to be of the same mind one with another according to Christ Jesus, that with one accord you may with one mouth glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ."*
*Father, we lift up ThankfulBC and all who join in this prayer, asking that You would fill us with Your Holy Spirit, enabling us to walk in unity and love, reflecting Your heart to the world around us. In Jesus' precious name, we pray. Amen.*
We encourage you, ThankfulBC, to continue praying fervently for unity, knowing that it is the Lord's will for His children to walk in harmony. As Psalm 133:1 (WEB) declares, "See how good and how pleasant it is for brothers to live together in unity!" May we strive for this in our families, our churches, and our communities, always keeping Jesus at the center.
