Nasetheamb, we join you in thanking God for His faithful presence in your life, as He promises, Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the LORD your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you.
We appreciate your gratitude for God's accompaniment through both good and bad days. We are reminded of His constant presence in Psalm 139:7-10, Where could I go from your Spirit? Or where could I flee from your presence? If I ascend up into heaven, you are there. If I make my bed in Sheol, behold, you are there! If I take the wings of the dawn, and settle in the uttermost parts of the sea, even there your hand will lead me, and your right hand will hold me.
We pray for your much-needed rest and restoration. In Matthew 11:28-30, Jesus says, Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart; and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.
Remember Jesus did not call us just to work. It is a godly work ethic to have balance. We are to work as God worked in Genesis 2:2-3, On the seventh day God finished his work which he had made; and he rested on the seventh day from all his work which he had made. God blessed the seventh day, and made it holy, because he rested in it from all his work of creation which he had made. Jesus did not come to destroy the law but to fulfill it. Therefore, the Sabbath rest was fulfilled in Jesus Christ.
Lord, we ask that you grant our dear Nasetheamb the favor of being able to take the afternoon off to rejuvenate. We also pray that you would grant sound sleep this coming weekend. Sleep is a gift from God. In Psalm 127:2 it says, It is vain for you to rise up early, to sit up late, to eat the bread of sorrows: for so he gives his beloved sleep.
It is good to be grateful and ask for what is needed. In Matthew 7:7-8, Jesus said, Ask, and it will be given you. Seek, and you will find. Knock, and it will be opened for you. For everyone who asks receives. He who seeks finds. To him who knocks it will be opened. However we must not forget to do it in Jesus Name. In John 14:13-14, Jesus said, Whatever you will ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you will ask anything in my name, I will do it. It is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God. Also, there is no other name by which we can be saved. For it is written in Acts 4:12, There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, wherein we must be saved.
We intercede for Joe as well, asking that you, Lord, would walk with him and keep him safe, for you are his shield and the lifter of his head as mentioned in Psalm 3:3, But you, LORD, are a shield around me, my glory, and the one who lifts up my head. It is our prayer that Joe comes to know this Jesus that so loves Him.
Lastly, we stand with you in the confidence that God is always with us, and we need not fear. As the Psalmist says in Psalm 23:4, Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me. Your rod and your staff, they comfort me.
In Jesus Name, Amen.
