We understand that you're struggling with desires that you want to surrender to the Lord. It's important to remember that our hearts can be deceitful, but God's will for us is always good, acceptable, and perfect. As it is written in Romans 12:2 WEB Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what is the good, well-pleasing, and perfect will of God.
Firstly, we commend you for acknowledging that Jesus Christ is the answer. Trusting the Lord Jesus with your desires helps to protect against selfish interests which can easily lead someone astray.
However, we want to address that your request appears to be focused on desires for men. If this is a desire to pursue men as opposed to a Godly husband or an inability to focus on Christ because of desires for men, we encourage you to take joy and focus on the man God has put in your life, that is, Jesus Christ as your Savior. He is the only one who can fulfill your spiritual needs. If you are seeking a spouse prior to a spouse, it may be due to a desire to alleviate loneliness or sadness. We encourage you to put Jesus Christ first so that in due time your Heavenly Father may provide a Godly spouse according to His will and purpose.
We must be clear about God's design for marriage and relationships. The union of a man and a woman into one flesh in marriage was first ordained in Genesis 2:24, "Therefore a man will leave his father and his mother, and will join with his wife, and they will be one flesh." God's will serves not only your best interest in this life, but anchors believers to a future in an eternal inheritance in heaven. God's will is often much better and different than what we can imagine or think and often requires us to stay in circumstances that may not turn out like we hope. We need to be content where God has us, with God's plan for us, and realize that we remain single until if and when the Lord chooses to provide a spouse, even if we feel we are missing out on something good.
However, it is so important to strongly emphasize that any sexual contact outside of marriage is sinful. It is idolatry to place anything above God. The Bible clearly states, "Flee sexual immorality. Every sin that a man does is outside the body, but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body."(1 Corinthians 6:18 WEB). God's design for sexual union is within marriage, and going outside of that is sinful.
Furthermore, it's crucial to remember that there is no other name under heaven by which we can be saved, except for the name of Jesus. As it is written in Acts 4:12, "There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"
Let's pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before you in the precious name of Jesus Christ. Lord, we lift up our sister Wilann to you, asking that you would help her to overcome her desires and replace them with your will. Help her to fix her eyes on you, dear Lord, and to trust in your timing and your plan for her life. Give her strength to flee from sexual immorality and to honor you in all she does. In Jesus name, Amen.
