Lord, should an obedient man perish?

Lord, You have heard some say they have told me to leave their house and I am the one who has not moved out concerning these spiritual attacks. You have also seen that these actions are intended to frustrate me and to trap me. You have heard me think and say that You will provide me a house therefore I have a place to move into. You saw me being accused of not spreading the gospel of Your kingdom and not winning souls for You. You saw me make the decision to do it and I went. You saw me being willing and obedient in this. You have heard me confess things I need and want in this life from Your Word. You have heard what three prophets all have spoken concerning will concerning my future. Now You have seen the same enemies who accused me trying to resist me from doing what they accused me that I am not doing. And You have allowed them to cause terrible circumstances against me and have seen them resisting Your Word. You have seen my issues throughout the world. What manner of treatment is this Lord? You have seen the efforts I have made in seeking to obey You in the face of conflict and opposition. So I ask again why are You dealing with me in such manner? You have seen some churches judging me when I wasn't part of them. You have seen them blasting my faults in the past in foreign nations in an attempt to frustrate Your Word. You have seen them rejecting me when I wasn't part of them. All these things You have not dealt with. So I ask You for the reason for such treatment from You. The English word 'betray' also means to expose someone to danger by treachery or failing to stand with him or failing to fulfill promises. So why are You appearing to have betrayed me in such a way that some of the gentiles wouldn't do their loved ones. You saw Your Church jubilate when an enemy came against me. You saw them say You are my source. You saw them taking something that they had never given me. In the Old Testament from the days of Noah, You have proven that You always give people the opportunity to repent before bringing evil against them. But my case was an exception. So why are You dealing with me in such a way? You saw me request prayer with the belief that they could deal with the issue which ended up in sufferings. So I ask God, why is He dealing with my case as if all such things are not so but everything is wrong on my part? What legal right did the enemy get when I was obeying? Where is my justice? Please answer me.

We hear your heartfelt cry and understand your feelings of frustration and betrayal. Let us first turn to God's Word for guidance and comfort. In Psalm 55:16-18 (WEB), it is written:

"As for me, I will call on God. Yahweh will save me. Evening, morning, and at noon, I will cry out in distress. He will hear my voice. He has redeemed my soul in peace from the battle that was against me, although there are many who are with me."

Let us pray together:

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our brother who feels betrayed and frustrated. Lord, You see his heart and his obedience. You know the injustices he faces and the accusations against him. We ask for Your divine intervention, that You would vindicate him and make his paths straight.

Lord, we pray that You would expose the schemes of the enemy and bring to light the truth. We ask that You would strengthen our brother, giving him the courage and perseverance to continue in Your will. Remind him of Your faithfulness and love, even in the darkest times.

Father, we also pray for those who have accused and rejected him. We ask that You would soften their hearts and bring conviction, that they may see their error and turn to You. We pray for unity in the body of Christ, that we may all work together to advance Your kingdom.

In the midst of this trial, Lord, we ask that You would draw our brother closer to You. Help him to fix his eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith. Remind him that even in the face of opposition, You are always with him, and Your plans for him are good.

In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

Brother, in the face of these trials, remember the words of Romans 8:28 (WEB): "We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose." Trust that God is working in your situation, even when it is difficult to see.

Regarding the churches that have judged and rejected you, Jesus warned us in John 16:33 (WEB): "I have said these things to you, that in me you may have peace. In the world you have oppression; but cheer up! I have overcome the world." Opposition and rejection are a part of the Christian life, but take heart, for Jesus has overcome the world.

Lastly, we want to address the fact that your prayer does not mention Jesus Christ. It is only through Jesus that we have access to God. As it is written in John 14:6 (WEB), "Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me." We encourage you to put your faith and trust in Jesus, for there is no other name by which we can be saved.

Stand firm in your faith, continue in obedience, and trust that God is working in your life. May the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.

Brother, we've been praying with you, and we want you to know that we're right here with you. We see your pain, your frustration, and your confusion. We've been reflecting on your situation, and we want to share a different perspective with you.

In Lamentations 3:22-23 (WEB), it says, "The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases. His mercies never come to an end. They are new every morning. Great is your faithfulness." God's love for you is constant, and His mercies are new every morning. Even in the midst of this storm, He is faithful.

We've been thinking about the story of Job. Job lost everything - his family, his wealth, and even his health. He was accused and judged by his friends, yet God remained faithful to him. In the end, God restored everything Job had lost and even blessed him with more. We believe that God is working in your life in a similar way.

We want to encourage you to focus on what you can control. You can't control the actions of others, but you can control your response to them. Keep seeking God's face, keep obeying His Word, and trust that He is working all things together for your good (Romans 8:28).

Remember, too, that Jesus promised us in this world we would have tribulation, but He has overcome the world (John 16:33). The enemy wants to discourage you and make you feel alone, but Jesus is always with you. He is your comforter, your advocate, and your strength.

We're praying for you, brother, that you would find peace and comfort in the midst of this storm. We're praying that God would give you the strength to endure and the wisdom to know how to respond. And we're praying that, ultimately, God would be glorified in your life, just as He was in Job's.

Keep looking to Jesus, brother. He is your hope, your peace, and your salvation. And remember, you're not alone. We're standing with you, praying with you, and believing with you that God is going to work this out for your good and His glory.

Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise.
