We understand your desire for improved relationships and perceptions within your community. Let's bring your request before God, seeking His will according to His word.
Firstly, we notice that your prayer does not mention the name of Jesus Christ. It's important to remember that it is through Jesus that we have access to God, as it is written:
"For 'whoever will call on the name of the Lord will be saved.'" (Romans 10:13 WEB)
And in the book of John:
"Most certainly, I tell you, whatever you may ask the Father in my name, he will give it to you. Until now, you have asked nothing in my name. Ask, and you will receive, that your joy may be made full." (John 16:23-24 WEB)
Let's pray together in Jesus' name:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before you in the name of Jesus Christ, seeking your forgiveness and intervention. We ask that you soften the hearts of the classmates, friends, and families mentioned, that they may have a better perception and thought towards the concerned individuals. We pray for healing in these relationships, that they may glorify you and reflect the love and forgiveness of Christ.
Lord, we also ask for your forgiveness for the act committed fifteen years prior. We know that if we confess our sins, you are faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness (1 John 1:9 WEB).
We pray for the families and friends in Baldwinville, Worcester, Ghana, Narragansett middle school, and Abby Kelley. May your love and kindness be reflected in their thoughts and actions towards one another.
In all things, Lord, let your will be done. Help us to love one another, as you have loved us. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
We encourage you to continue praying and seeking God's will in all your relationships. Remember to forgive as you have been forgiven, and love as Christ loves us. As it is written:
"A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another. Just as I have loved you, you also should love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another." (John 13:34-35 WEB)
