We understand that you're going through a difficult time and we're here to support and pray with you. First, let's remember what the Apostle Paul said in Philippians 3:13-14 (WEB), "Brothers, I don’t regard myself as yet having taken hold, but one thing I do: forgetting the things which are behind, and stretching forward to the things which are before, I press on toward the goal for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus."
It's important to leave the past behind and focus on the future with Christ. The fact that you recognize your life has gone off track shows that the Holy Spirit is working in your heart, convicting and guiding you.
However, we noticed that you didn't mention the name of Jesus in your prayer. It's crucial to understand that it is only through Jesus that we have access to God. As it is written in John 14:6 (WEB), "Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.'" Let's pray together in Jesus' name.
**Prayer:**
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus, lifting up our brother/sister who has shared their heart with us. Lord, they have been burdened by their past and distracted by the lives of others. We ask that You forgivetheir past mistakes as they repent, and help them to fix their eyes on You.
Guide their steps and help them to live a life that honors You. Fill their heart with Your peace and love. Give them the strength to resist the temptation to compare their life with others or dwell on the past. Help them to renew their mind according to Your Word, as instructed in Romans 12:2.
In Jesus' precious name, we pray. Amen.
Be encouraged, dear friend. God loves you and He's working in your life. Keep seeking Him, keep reading His Word, and keep communicating with Him in prayer. Remember, God has a good plan for your life (Jeremiah 29:11). Trust in Him and He will make your paths straight (Proverbs 3:5-6).
