We understand that you are seeking forgiveness for your sins, and we are here to pray with you and guide you according to God's Word. The Bible tells us, "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness" (1 John 1:9 WEB).
Firstly, we want to ensure that you have accepted Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior. It is only through His name that we can approach God and seek forgiveness. As the Scripture says, "In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of his grace" (Ephesians 1:7 WEB). If you have not yet accepted Jesus, we encourage you to confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, for it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved (Romans 10:9-10 WEB).
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, seeking Your forgiveness and mercy. We confess that we have sinned and fallen short of Your glory. Please forgive our friend who has sincerely repented and turned to You. Cleanse them from all unrighteousness and fill them with Your Holy Spirit, that they may walk in newness of life.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
We encourage you to walk in righteousness and strive to sin no more. As Jesus told the woman caught in adultery, "Go and sin no more" (John 8:11 WEB). May the grace of God strengthen you and keep you from temptation. Remember, "No temptation has taken you except what is common to man. God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted above what you are able, but will with the temptation also make the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it" (1 Corinthians 10:13 WEB).
Continue to read and meditate on God's Word, and may the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, guard your heart and your mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7 WEB).
